=== qwebirc26596 is now known as antiPosix
antiPosixI am trying to figure out when to mount my iscsi volume for /var/lib/mythtv/recordings02:18
antiPosixI keep getting "/var/lib/mythtv/recordings is not ready yet or not present"02:19
antiPosixwhat stage of runlevel 2 brings that screen up?02:20
patdk-laprunlevel?02:20
patdk-lapthose haven't existed for a long time02:20
patdk-lapcheck upstart02:20
antiPosixnot sure what you mean, /etc/rc2 ( or runlevel 2) is where everything is02:21
patdk-laplike I said02:21
patdk-laprunlevels haven't existed for some time now02:22
antiPosixI may very well be missing something02:22
antiPosixthen how are things started?02:22
patdk-lapthey are simulated02:22
patdk-laphow well that simulation works is debatable02:22
patdk-lapbut everything has been being removed from there, and into upstart02:22
antiPosixits still started in runlevel 2 irregardless of newer technology02:22
patdk-lapheh02:23
patdk-lapthe new technology doesn't know anything about runlevels02:23
patdk-lapthe whole runlevel system is virtualized02:23
patdk-lapit's emulated, simulated, ...02:23
patdk-laptherefor anything you say about it, can't be dependable, as that isn't really what is going on :)02:24
patdk-lapunless your still on 8.0402:24
antiPosixcrap02:24
patdk-lapthe issue is likely02:24
patdk-lapmyth is using the old runlevel script02:25
patdk-lapbut the network mounts is using the upstart script02:25
patdk-lapso and they aren't depending on each other correctly02:25
antiPosixhow do I get open-iscsi to fire before /etc/fstab, before mythbackend?02:25
patdk-lapcan't do that02:25
patdk-lapfstab doesn't fire02:25
patdk-lapand open-iscsi should always fire before remote mounts02:26
patdk-laphmm, what version you using?02:26
antiPosix11.0402:26
patdk-lapmy 10.04 one, uses upstart for myth02:26
antiPosixfstab doesnt fire but has the details for my mount points02:27
patdk-lapoh, it doesn't depend on network filesystems though02:27
patdk-laptry editing /etc/init/mythtv-backend and add remote-filesystems to start depends line02:28
patdk-lapprobably just change local-filesystems to remote-filesystems02:29
dmfreygood afternoon all, my hdhomerun prime stopped tuning channels today, telling that channel I try is an unknown vchannel18:04
dmfreyany ideas?18:04
dmfreydid something change recently?18:04
dmfreynevermind, it seems to be working now18:06
st8ofmi9dI jsut started running MYthTV under Kbuntu (actually the LMCE) and whenever I go to play Live TV, it freezes after a split second of video and sound. I did a lot of searching and it looks like this might be a problem with a video drivers. I verified xorg.conf and I am using NVIDIA for the display. cat /proc/driver/nvidia/version shows that I have:NVRM version:NVIDIA UNIX x86 Kernel Module  195.36.15  Thu Mar 11 21:419:42
st8ofmi9d1:46 PST 201019:42
st8ofmi9dGCC version:  gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12)19:42
st8ofmi9dAm I going down the right path to correct the freezing problem? Any thoughts on how to get it working?19:42
