[00:35] I don't know what that is, even. [01:28] greetings from the far east [01:52] New Jersey? [01:58] s/far/north [01:58] :P [03:10] i need a new jon [03:11] ob [03:11] job [03:14] I need a job... [03:15] laid of from 711 i am in a desperate search of suburbia to find another useless mindless wage slave job [03:20] Too many people are unemployed these days. I join the party next Tuesday. [03:21] STORM WALL STREET [03:21] actually, U.S. steel workers union made an announcement supporting it... interesting [03:23] Storming Wall Street would eat into my meager savings. [03:24] Plus, its my own fault in my case - I didn't start looking for a way out of financial IT when I saw the market start to dive, and now I'm paying the price. [03:25] I don't actually need a job, so i'll shut my trap [03:25] I did just buy a new laptop... [03:25] HARD EARNED LAPTOP [03:25] shoulda bought a car instead... [03:26] That's what septa is for. Use the new laptop to keep from getting bored. [03:29] septa is terrible outside of the city [03:29] imagine it being like a hand. [03:30] if you are at the tip of your middle finger, you need to go all the way back to the center to get back to your thumb [03:30] same thing with septa, no cross traffic [03:30] no cross train or bus [03:30] I'm quite familiar. I commuted from West Chester to Oaks, PA for 6 months on Septa last winter.....by way of KOP mall and a nice 2 hour layover. [03:30] so to get from King of Prussia to Warminster, means going all the way down to onley or market east [03:30] yeah [03:30] visting my GF in west chester = HELL [03:31] Well....except for on sundays, when I had to go by way of 30th street station. Those were fun days. [03:31] I like 30th street, proximity to drexel food trucks is excellent [03:31] Indeed, but since I was working redeye, not a thing was open when I showed up at 11pm on a Sunday, save for the bar in the station. [03:32] indeed [03:32] from willow grove to west chester is a good 3+ hour trip [03:32] at 9am... by the time you hit 9pm, frequency is way lower and its forever and ever [03:32] shoulda bought a car... [03:33] The septa route to West Chester.....92 if i recall correctly, my mind is trying to block out those memories....really didn't help. [03:33] I don't think you could pick a more convoluted route from KOP to West Chester. [03:34] 93 I think [03:35] I get stuck with the 55->Olney->Broad Street Line -> MFL line all the way to 69 -> 93 I think (may be 94) [03:36] That's a very unplesant trip. [03:36] Indeed [03:36] now I have my laptop + 3G tether. [03:36] mmhmmmm [03:36] no worries about battery life with my 9 cell [03:37] and letting my phone use 3g doesn't suck down my power [03:37] though I need to figure out a way to not charge my phone [03:37] when on batter [03:37] jedijf: is that possible? To not charge a device [03:39] What phone are you tethering to? My phone dies after about an hour of wifi tethering. [03:39] Then again, it also dies after about an hour of light websurfing on the phone itself. [03:45] samsung galaxy [03:45] not wifi tether [03:45] 3G tether -> usb [03:46] That's a bit of a battery savings, I suppose. [03:49] yes [03:49] wifi kills me too [03:49] and my phone is always full battery if its plugged in the lappy [03:51] I fiddled around with Power Manager during my trip to california, since I was tethered via wifi but charging via my laptop's USB for the whole trip. The extra power drain for charging my phone was almost unnoticed. [03:52] I'm not sure if it's worth it to stop the device from charging, but every little bit helps, I guess. [03:53] I suppose [03:53] my batter life is quite good either way [04:33] ii need a laptop [04:33] but cant afford one [04:34] especially cuz i got an underage, when i wasnt even drinking. fml [04:37] knightzero, are you being layed off [05:34] monday! [05:35] you sir should be shot [05:36] because mondays SUCK [05:37] mondays should eb shot [05:37] i dont make them suck [05:37] life does [05:38] then life should be rewritten [05:38] and the universe reassigned to a 26-hour-a-day time system [05:43] id actually really like that [05:43] or kinda have a bank of time [05:43] that should be a game [05:44] lol [05:47] i often feel as tho i either have too much time in a day, or more often, seldom enof === Guest23566 is now known as jackson === jackson is now known as Guest31203 === Guest31203 is now known as jackson_ [09:42] Morning [10:34] Morning. [18:22] "teleported"? [18:23] transfer a running VM from one host to another, could even reboot the first one if needed. [18:23] a *running* VM? [18:23] yes [18:23] that's what the DOC claims [18:24] no i havent successfully transfered a *running VM*, but i've successfully shut down the running VM, transferred files, then started it back up in VBox [18:24] between systems, of course [18:24] I've done that too. [18:24] I've done this in vmware, not in vbox. [18:25] We used to do this thing where we would start a file transfer, then move the VM that the file was being downloaded from while it was running, without the download breaking. [18:25] as a demo.
