agateauhi06:59
agateauit seems a user account got compromised and is now used to spam bugs, what can I do to get this fixed?07:00
geseragateau: file a question and a LP admin will deal with it (block the account and remove the spam)07:02
geserI don't know how urgent this is / how massive the spam is but you could try to reach the help contact (currently jtv-eat) to speed things up if needed07:04
agateaugeser: not massive yet, it's quite odd07:06
agateaugeser: thanks I am going to file a question07:06
=== jtv-eat is now known as jtv
jtvHi agateau, geser; I'm back.07:34
agateauhi jtv, I filed a question here: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/174110 . The spam is not massive, I suspect the user got his email account compromised.07:37
jtvagateau: thanks.  It could also be an XSS attack, I guess (though I haven't read the question yet).07:37
jtvagateau: I hid the comments.  Did I miss any?07:40
agateaujtv: I don't think so07:41
agateaujtv: haven't found other spammed bugs for onw07:41
agateau*now07:41
jtvThanks.  It's actually quite useful to get these quick warnings, because we don't want search engines to index it.07:42
mrevellHallo07:55
* czajkowski ticlkles mrevell 08:21
mrevellczajkowski, Crumbs. Hello.08:23
czajkowskimrevell: sort your sim card option out ?08:25
mrevellczajkowski, The baconator gave me a suggestion of a PAYG phone from Best Buy. I'll check if there's one near the hotel.08:26
czajkowskicool08:27
czajkowskimrevell: or ask mhall119 if you can have it delievered to him before hand it lives in florida and will be at uds08:28
mrevellAh superb, thanks for the suggestion.08:28
czajkowskinp08:30
czajkowskimrevell: he's one of your lot anyways :)08:30
aquariusI'm setting up a new LP project; the code is already in LP in a +junk branch. What's the best way to get that code into the new project as its main branch? I planned to import the junk branch, btu https://launchpad.net/$project/trunk/+setbranch doesn't let me use lp: URLs in the bzr "import a branch hosted somewhere else" section. Am I doing things wrong?09:22
pooliehi aquarius09:23
aquariusheya poolie :)09:23
pooliejust push from your branch to the new branch of the project09:23
aquariusso i shoudl "Create a new, empty branch in Launchpad and link to this series" and then push to that branch/09:24
aquarius?09:24
aquariusor do I not need to create the new empty branch at all?09:24
aquariusthis stuff always confuses me :(09:24
poolieyou don't need to create it, just push09:24
aquariusok09:24
poolieyou might like to consider first making a team for the project09:25
pooliethen eg push lp:~fooproject-dev/fooproject/trunk09:25
aquariusaha, I just did "bzr push lp:fooproject" and it worked. nice.09:26
lifelessI'm more than a little amazed09:40
lifelessaquarius: what is fooproject called ?09:41
wgrantThe default ownership is probably not entirely sensible, but that's easily changed later.09:43
aquariuslifeless, youoneteeoh09:45
aquariusI wish there was an easy way to turn a junk branch into a project09:46
aquariushe says, having no intention of writing such a way :)09:46
nigelbthat was talked about at some point09:46
nigelbI don't know what came of it though09:47
lifelessaquarius: literally ?09:55
lifelessindeed09:56
lifelessah, ~sil09:56
aquariuslifeless, literally, yep09:56
lifelessright, thats what we need to fix09:56
aquariusso, hm. Did I screw this up, then?09:56
lifelessno, not at all09:56
aquariusI am always wildly confused when I set up a new project :(09:56
lifelessjust mrevell and I were talking about this the other day09:56

hrwhttps://launchpadlibrarian.net/82653090/buildlog.txt.gz - 'bzr: out of memory' - any ideas?09:57
jtvlifeless: you know bzr stuff, right?09:59
jtvlifeless: got to be an insane time for you though—I guess jelmer's the one to approach?10:00
lifelessjtv: 11pm, and cythnia had her immunisations today10:01
jtvInsane time.10:01
lifelessso am a little scatterbrained10:01
jtvMay also be a good idea to ask lamont for ideas.10:01
jtvIt's a gcc build, so I guess there's the possibility that we simply need more memory…10:02
rvbajtv: maybe it's related to https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/17342210:02
lifelessthere is an open bug about out of memory in recipes10:03
rvbalifeless: yep, that's the one :)10:03
hrwrepo has ~600MB size10:04
jtvThanks rvba!10:04

hrwbzr: out of memory again10:10
jtvhrw: I'd suggest keeping an eye on that question rvba posted earlier.10:35
hrwok10:38
hrwI love 'In the meantime, could you please try resubmit it as you may end up getting one of the builders that isn't so resource constrained.' suggestion ;D10:38
hrwI thought that builders are VMs so more or less same10:39
jtvhrw: maybe some of the VMs have more VM.  :)10:49
hrwyay! built source10:58
jtvhrw: that's the big hurdle I believe… now let's just hope more builders get more memory.11:05

lamalexhi launchpad, i'm trying to do some series/branch organization but i've sort of gotten myself into a jam. could someone help me sort things out? I wanted to make my /trunk my new series but i can't figure out how to get trunk off of the old series. I also may just be doing things entirely wrong14:57

lamalexallenap, ^15:09
sinzuilamalex, are you saying you want to delete trunk or that you just do not want to see it?15:15
lamalexsinzui, neither15:16
lamalexi want trunk to be a synonym for my development focus series15:16
sinzuioh15:16
lamalexso if development is on 0.3 series, trunk and 0.3 should be the same15:16
sinzuilamalex, Visit https://launchpad.net/unity-lens-music/trunk15:17
=== zyga_ is now known as zyga-afk
sinzuiChoose the yellow edit icon next to is not the focus of development.15:17
sinzuithat actually takes you to the project's edit page15:17
sinzuiSelect the series that is the focus of development15:18
sinzuiThe field is before the big license section15:18
=== matsubara is now known as matsubara-lunch
sinzuilamalex, Lp does not support synonyms Trunk and 0.3 are separate series. lp:unity-lens-music is mapped to the series set as the focus of development.15:20
lamalexsinzui, but 0.2 was both 0.2 and trunk15:21
lamalexhttps://code.launchpad.net/unity-lens-music15:21
lamalexsee? i want trunk to move to 0.315:21
sinzuilamalex, I do not know what you mean then. are you talking about the branches that the series represent15:22
sinzuiseries are a planning device. branches are real you assign branches to series to state what is really being planed15:22
sinzuiMaybe you want to visit https://launchpad.net/unity-lens-music/trunk and choose the edit icon next to the branch to unassign trunk. then visit https://launchpad.net/unity-lens-music/0.3, choose the edit icon next to trunk and set the value to ~unity-team/unity-lens-music/trunk15:25
lamalexsinzui, well is it then possible to just delete the trunk series?15:25
sinzuiYes, that will unlink the branch, delete the milestone and released on the series, and untartarget bugs15:26
sinzuioh, lamalex you cannot because trunk is linked to packages in distros15:26
sinzuiThis looks like a mess15:26
lamalexah yah, i wanted to fix that15:26
lamalexindeed, it is15:26
sinzuiYou will need to up ubuntu/unity-music-lens to know which series those packages came from before you can delete15:27
sinzuiYou will probably need to do that if you are moving branches between series anyway15:28
lamalexsinzui, i figured it out, i just needed to point the trunk series at the same branch as 0.3, now everything is great15:41
sinzuilamalex, you did not have to remove that same branch from the trunk series?15:42
* sinzui thought series could not share branches15:42
lamalexit would seem that they can15:43
lamalex0.3 series and trunk series are both pointing to ~unity-team/unity-lens-music/0.315:43

james_wand is there anyway to stop it so that I can carry on with what I was doing?20:56
maxbIf it was copied oneiric->lucid, it would build on architectures enabled in the PPA which have been disabled at some point between lucid and oneiric20:58
maxbI think ia64 and sparc support was dropped in that timeframe?20:58
james_waha, that sounds right20:58
