charlie-tcaany help appreciated with it.03:12
* Unit193 reads03:18
Unit193Might I say something about s/cd/CD/g and changing it to "...please see the #xubuntu IRC channel on..." ?  (Or just ignore me, either way works)03:24
charlie-tcahuh?03:26
charlie-tcaI'm tired. You have to pretty clear for me tonight03:26
charlie-tcaOkay, maybe I got it now?03:28
Unit193Ok, where it says "cd" should it be changed to "CD" and where it says "...please see the #xubuntu IRC channels on..." changed to "...please see the #xubuntu IRC channel on..." (No S on channel since it's one channel)03:28
charlie-tcaOh03:28
Unit193I could easily be off though...03:28
charlie-tcaNope, you are correct, sir03:29
charlie-tcaThanks for reading it03:29
charlie-tcaI am not sure my eyes haven't crossed, so every bit helps03:29
Unit193I'm sure she would have fixed it03:30
charlie-tcaAnything else we should say in that?03:39
charlie-tcaUnit193: good night, sir. Thanks again for the review.03:43
Unit193I have no idea, I'm not one that's godd for that thing03:44
Unit193charlie-tca: You're welcome and have a good night!!03:44
pleia2poor wiki is crawling already11:48
pleia2charlie-tca: I'm wondering if we should include some of the changes in the release announcement?11:49
pleia2and I think s/a free spin/a spin11:50
pleia2saying "invite you to give it a free spin" feels to me like it's not usually free11:50
* pleia2 makes some edits11:51
charlie-tcasure, we can include some changes11:54
charlie-tcaGood morning11:54
charlie-tcamy brain died and I couldn't think11:54

charlie-tcaOh, that looks much better11:56
pleia2now hopefully they release in the next 4 hours :)11:57
pleia2well, 3 would be optimal11:57
charlie-tcaYeah, that would be nice11:57
charlie-tcaThey are waiting for last minute things, like canonical updating the wiki, mirrors to finish propogating, etc11:58
* pleia2 nods11:58

pleia2http://xubuntu.org/11.10-release13:22
charlie-tcaShouldn't we have something linking to the release notes?13:23
pleia2the announcement does13:24
pleia2want to add on the /get page13:24
pleia2?13:24
charlie-tcaYes, but the announcement doesn't stay for the entire release, the release notes are valid until EOL13:24
charlie-tcaI think we should. Also, we need to contact On-Disk. They show 10.04 as the latest release.13:25
pleia2ok, adding now13:25
charlie-tcaGuess I will make a note to contact them13:25
charlie-tcaThank you.13:25

charlie-tcaCongratulations to everyone for Xubuntu 11.10! It is a good release that took considerable efforts to get done :)13:27

charlie-tcaYeah, that's what we went by to put in the notes13:36
charlie-tcaThank you again13:36
Olbi_thanky you too guys :)13:46
PjotrHello, there's just one minor issue with the final of the Xubuntu Oneiric desktop CD (32-bit): when you let the CD perform an error check ("check disc for defects" in the boot menu), it doesn't report what the result is, after the check has finished. It only says: "press any key to reboot".13:49
PjotrThis bug is Xubuntu only: I've tested the final Ubuntu and Lubuntu Oneiric desktop CD's as well, and they report "no errors found. Press any key to reboot".13:50
charlie-tcaIf the check fails, it tells you that13:50
Pjotrcharlie-tca: yes, but it should report "no errors found" as well, just like Ubuntu and Lubuntu. Much clearer for the end user.13:51
PjotrNo grave issue, but something to keep in mind when work starts on 12.04 Precise Pangolin. :-)13:51
charlie-tcaIt should tell you your cd ejected and hit ENTER to continue too, though13:52
charlie-tcawhen the install is finished13:53

Pjotrcharlie-tca: install is still going on here, I'll report about that, too.13:54
charlie-tcaalready have. It is in the release notes13:55

PjotrYes, that bug is still there. The release note is not entirely right, though....14:06
PjotrOn my laptop, the system was quite frozen after ejecting the CD. Pressing keys did not help. A hard reboot was needed.14:07
charlie-tcaAll it should take is ENTER, really14:09
charlie-tcaNone of mine froze completely14:09
PjotrWell, that did nothing. I pressed Enter repeatedly, but no show.14:09
PjotrSo maybe on some hardware the issue is different14:10
charlie-tcacould be a different bug for hardware14:11
PjotrThe Ubuntu Oneiric desktop CD had no issue at all , on this laptop (I installed Ubuntu first, on another partition)14:12
scott-workknome: when you are ready i would like to talk about the ubuntu studio site you were working on14:16
scott-worksorry i've been not available but work has been extremely busy14:17
charlie-tcaOkay, I am taking the rest of today off. Will peek in tomorrow.15:01
