[00:04] has anyone here messed with crashkernel? [00:05] brb [01:23] hi, i have just posted a bit of an issue i had with "apper" in #kubuntu. i think it is probably a bug, would this be the correct place to report/discuss it? [01:26] giantpune maybe on launchpad? [01:26] you can report the bug there? [01:27] ok, i say the tray icon saying that there was an update. i click the icon and apper opens up and says there is an update for google chrome. when i told it to update, it fails to get the file with a 404 error. i tried it several times and it always failed. [01:28] then i did "sudo apt-get upgrade" in the terminal and it gets the file without any issues [01:29] this is the output from the terminal. http://pastie.org/private/ck2kozor9tuai98hphoqlg === claydoh_ is now known as claydoh === skreech_ is now known as Daskreech [05:23] * valorie just upgraded [05:23] everything seems good so far === jjesse_ is now known as jjesse [08:48] <\sh> ScottK, is it still valid that anyone can take your merges? [19:36] apachelogger: ping [19:38] apachelogger: if you want someone to test some of your resulting android magic, count me in [19:39] yeah, you could also write it -.- [19:40] apachelogger: Implying I am able to [19:40] why would you not be? [19:41] apachelogger: No coding skills lol? [19:41] apachelogger: You know, QTrollface was my biggest achievement [19:41] if that were stopping people from doing coding then I guess we'd have no software to being with [19:42] And then came apachelogger and told me it's shit code and then I really saw it's shit code so I went back to basics [19:43] go do qt quick code, we already have shadeslayer for making up excuses :P [19:43] apachelogger: Qt Quick? Ehh, guess I will have some reading on the plane [19:43] * apachelogger can reliably foobar necessitas [19:43] woohoo [19:44] apachelogger: Good job. [19:44] apachelogger: The code is a that developer.nokia.com website, righto? [19:44] yes [19:44] I'll fetch it tomorrow. [19:44] Gotta port vim over to android [19:44] That's all I really need now [19:45] hm [19:45] Or wait, I'll just use Ubantoos ARRRRRM binary [19:45] * yofel cleans up packaging wiki for non-existing 4.7.3 tars [19:46] * Quintasan wonders if that will work [19:46] brb testing [19:46] do we have a plan for the debian merge yet? [19:46] implying they get the job done before 4.7.80 comes out [19:46] http://code.google.com/p/android-lighthouse/issues/detail?id=78 [19:47] fckmerning [19:47] yofel: lol [19:47] well, they're almost done with 4.7.2 if I read their job done [19:47] they are working on it when pinotree isn't trolling us [19:48] *their channel right [19:49] how about doing 4.7.3 and then start with it? And without spending time on uploading the merged stuff go straight to 4.7.80 ? [19:49] https://qt.gitorious.org/~taipan/qt/android-lighthouse/blobs/stable/src/plugins/platforms/android/common/sw/androidjnimain.cpp#line580 [19:49] the fck [19:50] what's wrong with that? looks like sane code [19:50] WHAT THE FCK MARKET [19:51] This element can't be installed in your country [19:51] lol [19:51] brb rebooting [19:51] the fck? [19:53] bulldog98_: mind trolling upstream about licensing in parley and kturtle before 4.8 beta1 ? [19:53] * apachelogger goes fix0r0r0r0r [19:53] yofel: did you evar see a close butt0n on android? [19:53] * yofel doesn't own anything that has android on it [19:54] uh, crash again [19:54] * apachelogger thinks his android sdk is screwing necessitas over [19:54] bstd [19:54] yofel: good for you [19:55] muahahahahahaaha [19:55] * apachelogger is evil man [19:55] munching the close events now [19:55] \o/ [19:57] what the heck [19:57] apachelogger: I presume you have something with Androidz on it [19:58] Could you try looking for Terminal Emulator on it? [20:04] Quintasan: wah? [20:04] connectbot [20:05] Goddamn [20:05] It doesnt work here [20:05] Damned software [20:05] I get no results no matter what I look for :O [20:06] stupid market(tm) [20:07] W/Qt ( 5955): file:///data/data/com.ubuntu.summit/files/qrc:/qml/android/main.qml: File not found [20:07] oh that seems wrong [20:10] ha! now this main.qml is one epic hack right there [20:35] shadeslayer: happy diwali! [20:35] glad to hear the jetlag is gone [21:46] Quintasan: syn [21:52] pff [21:52] I make cool things for him and he does not even responde [21:53] even without e [21:53] eeeee [21:53] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhguBgvtbbA&ob=av2n [21:53] The uploader has not made this video available in your country. [21:54] Sorry about that. [21:54] booo [21:54] you never get to experience the E [21:54] * apachelogger hugs valorie to make up for that [21:55] http://people.ubuntu.com/~apachelogger/screencasts/2011-10-27-021.mp4 [21:55] hugs! better than vids [21:56] that one I hear you, but vlc doesn't play the video part [21:56] maybe dragon..... [21:56] * apachelogger got quite the weird english going today [21:57] like an Austrian Harry Potter [21:57] indeed [21:57] vid works in me vlc [21:59] dragon played the vid and 3/4 of the sound [22:00] vlc says: [22:00] No suitable decoder module: [22:00] VLC does not support the audio or video format "h264". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this. [22:03] your vlc is weird [22:06] Quintasan: https://projects.developer.nokia.com/uds/changeset/0258edaa54e0fb86550e342fb139559a697bc978 [22:06] I think they removed that format from ffmpeg because it's buggy [22:06] Quintasan: note main.qml which in this revision shows how to use the paging stuff [22:07] Quintasan: also since the implementation is stolen from the harmattan nokia components you can hold on tight to the uds harmattan code [22:07] apachelogger: I be here now, fixing retarded Markets [22:07] Quintasan: watch my silly video first :P [22:07] Y U NO CLICKABLE LINKS QUASSELDROID [22:09] rubbish(tm) [22:10] patches welcome (tm) [22:10] They are underlined and blue [22:10] However I cant click them :S [22:11] apachelogger: Nice, is that achived with Qt Quick only? [22:11] yes [22:11] well [22:11] no [22:11] durr [22:12] * yofel is off to bed - good night [22:12] qtandroid thinks it is smart and wants to close the app every time you hit the back button [22:12] so I am overloading the close event in a tiny cpp part [22:12] dirty but works [22:12] well [22:12] https://projects.developer.nokia.com/uds/browser/src/android/AndroidQmlAppViewer.cpp [22:12] I should be off to bed as well, will download the code and docs tomorrow [22:13] And prepare for 12hours of reading [22:13] _-_ [22:13] it essentially just ignores a close event if is spontanous (i.e. from the system) and the close key was pressed before hand [22:13] in which case it is most definitely this bogus behaviour from qtandroid [22:13] apachelogger: quoting ScottK : patches welcome (tm) :P [22:14] the only ways to terminate the app is from inside it by unwinding the stack to contain no pages or by the system via other means than the silly button ^^ [22:14] Good night then [22:14] nini [22:14] there were quite a few MM people in the same room at the GSoC Mentor's summit [22:15] we could have used apachelogger++ [22:16] I think there is gonna be some cool progress soon on the Linux sound stack [22:16] with some increased cooperation [22:17] would have been awesome to have Colin there too [22:24] mm = Marriage Material? [22:29] well, I was sitting next to j-b.......
