[02:08] chromium daily build downloads take me forever anybody else run in to this? [02:09] more specifically has anyone solved this or have any ideas where to start? [04:39] TRAVISg: Nope.... Could be a issue with the repository [04:39] how long does it take? [05:11] about twenty to forty minutes for a 19.9 mb download [05:35] wow [05:35] next time you do a update [05:35] can you screenshot which repo its downloading from in the details [05:36] also what kind of connection are you on? Have you done a speed test perhaps something temporarily bogged your network down? [05:42] not sure how. As far as my net work goes the chromium update is the only download that is consistently slow. [05:44] odd [05:45] * bkerensa had a chromium update the otherday and about 61 other updates and total time took maybe 5 mins [05:45] TRAVISg: If this is a persistent issue you could go to terminal and do -> ubuntu-bug update-manager [05:48] Testing [05:48] !rules [05:48] The people here are volunteers, your attitude should reflect that. [05:54] that was kinda weird was I acting entitled to an answer or something I feel like lubotu1 was miffed at me there. [05:57] TRAVISg: Nah just remembering a command since I'm doing support right now in #Ubuntu [05:57] sometimes people get rowdy and I wanted to remember the rules command [05:57] :P [05:57] ahhh [05:57] juggling I see [05:58] I have tried a complete uninstall didn't seem to help. Are the daily builds necessary or I should say helpful? [05:59] how could I take a screen shot next time? [05:59] TRAVISg: All updates are helpful although daily is bleeding edge and may not be totally neccesary [06:00] ahhh [06:00] TRAVISg: Just press PrintScr when you run the update but make sure the details dialog is toggled [06:01] Press it's a button? [06:05] TRAVISg: yeah print screen [06:05] where I use gnome classic and usually use update manager [06:06] right now I am doing some proposed updates and don't see it [06:09] sorry you are probably really busy it's not a big deal I can do some websearch and find it [06:10] I really appreciate your help man I got to hit the hay [06:10] Thanks again PEACE [06:12] TRAVISg: Ahh its no problem anytime :D === dshufelt is now known as dsmitty === dshufelt is now known as dsmitty [20:23] * bkerensa goes to upgrade to 12.04
