CarlFKwhat udeb supplies ssh-keygen ?17:39
cjwatsonnone17:41
cjwatsonwait, sorry, I'm wrong.  openssh-server-udeb17:42
cjwatsonyou should almost never use it from the udeb though - normally call it in the chroot instead17:42
cjwatsonit's only in the udeb to support network-console17:42
CarlFKit's handy for sshing into the installer for debugging17:45
cjwatsonuse network-console for that17:47
cjwatsonnot prepared to support it in general17:47
CarlFKhow do i check if anna-install is failing?17:48
cjwatsonshould be in the log file17:48
CarlFKecho $? shows 0, but ... looking...17:48
cjwatsonremember that anna-install queues installation requests if it's run before the main bulk udeb retrieval17:49
CarlFKah.. thanks./17:49
CarlFKand it says so in syslog :)17:50
cosmosisI am installing ubuntu 11.10 on a brand new system.  8 core AMD FX-8150 CPU with a ASUS M5A97 -- AMD 970 motherboard and 16 gig of ram.   When I go to install I get as far as  864 and detecting the usb keyboard and then it just hangs.  Any ideas?22:25
cjwatsoncosmosis: I suspect the kernel people will have more clue; we just do the userspace bit of the installer22:41
