dekarl | tgm4883: http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/9990 <- solved my "mythfilldatabase ran, but did not insert any new data" with xmltv (dunno about SD) | 00:27 |
---|---|---|
tgm4883 | dekarl, I guess that would only solve it if I have channels without XMLID? | 00:28 |
angelus11 | If my mobo has dual nics can I connect a cable to a switch with 4 frontends one one nic and then another cable to a switch with 2 frontends and 2 pcs? Or will that not work | 00:41 |
patdk-lap | it will work | 00:48 |
patdk-lap | the question is, how do you set that up | 00:48 |
patdk-lap | if you do that, you want to use different subnets for each switch | 00:48 |
patdk-lap | and that could make other things more complicated | 00:48 |
patdk-lap | easier would be to use bonding, and put everything on one switch | 00:48 |
patdk-lap | atleast that is how I'm currently doing it | 00:49 |
angelus11 | oh i see | 01:02 |
angelus11 | thank you :) | 01:03 |
goibhniu | hmm .. is the "Scan collection" button supposed to be commented out from MythVideo? It seems to work and I can't find any bugs related to it. | 01:28 |
goibhniu | I see someone has re-enabled it and replaced the code in scan.php recently | 01:29 |
goibhniu | err .. I mean in the video section of MythWeb (I guess that's obvious) | 01:30 |
goibhniu | it was re-enabled in July: https://github.com/MythTV/mythweb/commits/master?path%5B%5D=modules&path%5B%5D=video&path%5B%5D=tmpl&path%5B%5D=default&path%5B%5D=video.php | 01:31 |

dekarl | tgm4883: yes, it would only solve it when the warning is a false positive because you have channels that get their data from somewhere else too and this source delivers a longer time span then your SD/xmltv. e.g. buggy EIT data that inserts a event in the year 2134 :) | 08:25 |
dekarl | the real fix obviously should look more into the process. maybe count the "count of programs updated over all days" or similar | 08:27 |
antnash_ | Hi guys. I got a problem. dvb-apps scan is finding channels but the mythtv set up is saying that no inputs are connected to my card. What am I doing wrong? | 20:18 |
tgm4883 | antnash_, sounds like you didn't go through all the steps in mythtv-setup | 20:31 |
antnash_ | I'm pretty sure I have. I'll start again and make sure though | 20:32 |
Shadow__X | tgm4883: we all know its ok to skip a few steps, its not like every step is important | 22:04 |
tgm4883 | Shadow__X, heh, yea no need to connect your tuner to a guide source | 22:12 |
Shadow__X | tgm4883: that stuff takes to much time. I took on this project because i thought it would only take 30 minutes, its taking too long helps!!! | 22:26 |
Shadow__X | i will say i know i have been guilty of trying to work my way through problems without rtm :( | 22:29 |
