[01:21] hooray for https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/678090 [01:21] Ubuntu bug 678090 in Launchpad itself "Affected people from duplicates aren't included in the master bug's affected count" [Low,Fix released] [01:58] dpkg-buildpackage -uc -b, sent .deb to test box, installed, fine. [01:59] debuild -S -sa ... dput CarlFK-ppa *.changes, built, added PPA, apt-get install... start: Job failed to start [02:00] how do I debug this? [02:00] Have you built in a clean environment (pbuilder, sbuild) locally? [02:01] no [02:01] Try that. [02:01] that's work :) [02:01] grunmble [02:02] apt-get install pbuilder ... have a url I can follow ? [02:02] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PbuilderHowto [02:02] thanks [02:21] ok, so I get the same error. where do I find the upstart scripts? so that I can run the binary with -v ? [02:23] the binary is squid - what I am hacking is just some config files [02:25] /etc/init [02:29] thanks.. getting spew now... [02:41] exec $SQUID -N -f /etc/squid-deb-proxy/squid-deb-proxy.conf [02:41] what's exec? [02:42] A shell builtin. [02:44] ah. [08:31] good morning, launchpad is down right now, and there is no announced maintenance [08:32] philip_stoev: There's a daily 5-minute downtime window (not used every day): http://blog.launchpad.net/notifications/fast-down-time [08:33] It's back now [08:34] wgrant: thanks! maybe it has to be noted on the "Uh oh!Something has gone wrong. We're sorry!" page. [08:34] Probably, yeah. [08:56] hi [08:56] I want to model the internal logical structure (i.e. separate table between Stores and Products), as well as the connection between different systems, and the partitioning of these systems, all beginning from an actor. Is BPMN correct for this? - A sample (am I doing it right?): http://i39.tinypic.com/16iut1d.png [09:06] Hi! [09:11] Morning [09:11] gu [09:12] hi === mabac` is now known as mabac [09:25] Hi all.. I'm not sure about this, but I got a problem during upload a patch via mail. In this case the last line of file is trunked and patch compromised. [09:25] This's happened in bug 889463 [09:25] Launchpad bug 889463 in ecl (Ubuntu) "Please merge ecl 11.1.1-4 (universe) from Debian unstable" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/889463 [09:25] Is it a common problem? [09:26] Is it a my problem? :) [09:46] hi [09:46] I am trying to model a collection of systems, their various interconnections, as well as their internal logical structures, as a message is passed through them, initiated by an actor. Is BPMN the right notation, and am I using it right? - http://i.stack.imgur.com/r9741.png [09:47] AlecTaylor: I think you might be in the wrong place. This is the support channel for launchpad.net, a software development website. [09:48] * AlecTaylor is developing sofware, and thought this would be the right place to discuss [10:09] AlecTaylor: its certainly a place :) [10:09] AlecTaylor: I'm a fan of prose myself, with interaction timelines for exposition when needed. [10:10] mm, but the thing about prose is it's difficult to say, oh and this will expand out into a whole different system [10:11] AlecTaylor: its easy!. 'And this will epxand out into a whole different system.' [10:13] mm [10:13] But if I just wanted to move things around [10:13] It seems diagram is what I want [10:40] is it true that if fonts.googleapis.com is non-responsive that i cannot look at any launchpad page ? [10:55] hi, I'm trying to push my initial repository to launchpad, but it fails: [10:55] bzr push lp:opensesame-keyring-extension [10:55] bzr: ERROR: At lp:opensesame-keyring-extension you have a valid .bzr control directory, but not a branch or repository. This is an unsupported configuration. Please move the target directory out of the way and try again. [10:56] what does that mean? [11:12] A .bzr directory (a bzrdir) is a general container which can contain data for a branch, repository, or checkout. [11:12] The error's saying the general container is present, but contains none of the above === matsubara-afk is now known as matsubara [14:07] Hello [14:07] can anyone help me [14:07] I have kbuntu and it will not allow me to sign into a wireless network [14:09] is anyone there [14:10] I'm very new to linux and I need some help [14:13] can anyone tell me how I can get some help [14:13] I can't access the wireless network in kbuntu [14:17] senyahel: this channel is about launchpad.net, for help with kubuntu try the #kubuntu channel (or see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IRC/ChannelList for a list of channels) [14:17] thank you [14:28] hiya [14:28] can somebody help me find the bug responsible for http://launchpadlibrarian.net/85402171/dholbach-xwax-trunk.log? :) [14:29] for some reason I can't find it [14:33] nevermind, found it: bug 854647 [14:33] Launchpad bug 854647 in Launchpad itself "[http] double slash in request causes 404 for valid repositories" [High,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/854647 [14:34] jelmer, ^ as it is still broken, is it fair to assume that the dulwich bug might need to be reopened? [14:34] or has a newer dulwich not yet been massaged into LP? [14:38] hi launchpadders. I uploaded packages to a new PPA 23 minutes ago, but the packages haven't appeared in the PPA, and I haven't received the usual "accepted" email. Advice? https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/fldigi-debug-test/+packages [14:39] kamal: there's a 3 hour+ queue for i386 ppa builders right now [14:39] dholbach: hi [14:39] https://launchpad.net/builders [14:39] hey jelmer - how's life? [14:40] dholbach: it seems to be a launchpad-specific issue. It does have a recent dulwich as far as I know, but it doesn't work there, while it works for me locally with bzr-git. [14:40] popey: but I mean that my source packages haven't even appeared in the PPA -- that always occurs within 5 minutes of uploading. [14:40] kamal: oh, sorry. [14:42] irc://irc.freenode.net/kubuntu [14:42] dholbach: I'm well, thanks. How are you ? [14:42] jelmer, good good - looking forward to the WE :) [14:42] popey: and I've always gotten the accepted/rejected email notification within 5 minutes also. I'm stumped. [14:42] dholbach: I'll see if I can spot a difference in the way Launchpad uses the probers [14:42] kamal: sorry, dunno [14:42] jelmer, you're a hero [14:42] popey: thanks anyway! [14:42] benji, can you tell me how to switch to diff IRC channels [14:43] jelmer, I just spotted interesting changes in trunk and would love to test it in a daily-built package :-D [14:46] senyahel: it depends on the IRC client you're using, but it's normally something like /join #CHANNELNAME === Guest10379 is now known as benji [14:47] ok thank you === bac changed the topic of #launchpad to: https://launchpad.net/ | Help contact: bac | Launchpad is an open source project: https://dev.launchpad.net/ | This channel is logged: http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/ | User Guide: https://help.launchpad.net/ | Support: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad === matsubara is now known as matsubara-lunch [16:39] hey yall. i was wondering if I could get a PPA with arm support enabled for ~mythbuntu or ~superm1 to verify this bug is fixed or not: http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/9627 === beuno is now known as beuno-lunch === matsubara-lunch is now known as matsubara [17:53] bac: help please! I'm having a problem with a launchpad PPA upload. As I remarked a few hours ago: [17:53] I uploaded packages to a new PPA 23 minutes ago, but the packages haven't appeared in the PPA, and I haven't received the usual "accepted" email. Advice? https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/fldigi-debug-test/+packages [17:53] So I just tried re-uploading the packages a little while ago, but still no response at all from launchpad! [18:10] bac: nevermind -- turns out launchpad *did* send me a reject email (my own bogus package)... but my email client is broken so I didn't receive it. === beuno-lunch is now known as beuno [19:36] Hi, I created an account a few weeks ago to file some bugs. After creating the account and attempting to login, Launchpad bounced back and said I fed it a bad password. [19:37] I poked the login service to start an email password reset, I never got the email, and yes I checked my spam folder. [19:38] After a few days I emailed feedback@launchpad.net with my problem, explained it could possibly be related to the fact that I've fed a couple of random sybbols into my password. [19:39] The first response was to check my spam folder. [19:39] The second response which I just got, is that this issue should be sent to their "experts" and to do that I should file a ticket at... [19:39] https://answers.launchpad.net/canonical-identity-provider/+addquestion [19:40] Which is something I would totally love to do, except I can't login, which brings me back to square oen.
