inetproeish, why?17:38
Kilosbooted early to initramfs$17:38
Kilostried following what i used last with live cd then mounting sda117:39
Kiloseverytime i tried to mount pc hung17:39
inetprohmm...17:40
Kilosswopped drives and put 20g as master and tried to get onto the 80g and could see everything but when trying to mount anything pc hung17:40
Kiloslol17:40
inetproKilos: what was the mount command you used?17:41
Kilosin the end at 5 pm it booted to grub menu and did a revovery and now its working17:41
Kilos  sudo mount /dev/sdXY /mnt17:42
Kiloshad already tried the recovery 10 times or more so dunno why it worked in the end 17:43
Kilossudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt17:43
inetproI guess it was to early in the boot process17:44
* inetpro wonders why that would happen17:44
Kilosi tried to  go ctrl+alt=f2 but also got to initramfs17:44
Kilosim lost because now its perfect and reboots fine17:45
Kilosmurphy visiting again17:45
Kiloshehe17:45
inetproyou seem to have very interesting challenges17:46
Kilosi tried to do boot-repair from live cd but all it did was waste a couple meg data17:46
Kilosthats why i tried tou mount sda1 to install grub again17:47
Kilosyeah weird17:47
Kilosbut the thing would boot to grub menu fine and from there crash17:48
Kilosso inetpro how did you sort your prob17:48
inetproKilos: actually I still need to figure out exactly each step of the way on a new installation but I think my biggest problem started with an inconsistent update17:50
Kiloseish17:51
inetproKilos: after changing my repositories to the international servers and did 'aptitude install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`' I got some nvidia stuff fixed which I don't quite understand at this stage17:53
Kilosha ha ha17:53
inetprowill have to repeat this on a fresh install and see from there17:53

Kilosw00t18:22
Kilosall good18:22
superflydrubin, tumbleweed: I think I know why we're getting so much spam... it's the OpenID module. There seems to be some unknown security vulnerability where bots can register and login without needing to complete the captcha or anything else... I had it enabled on another site, and as soon as I disabled the OpenID module, the spam almost disappeared18:22
nlsthznHi all :)18:23
superflyyo nlsthzn18:23
tumbleweedah. The spam I get on my blog isn't from people logging in, but commenting anonymously18:23
Kiloshiya nlsthzn 18:24
superflyI've got that turned off on ubuntu-za18:24
tumbleweedsuperfly: how about limiting the openid providers to launchpad.net L18:24
tumbleweeds/L/?l18:24
tumbleweedgrr18:24
Kiloshehe18:24
tumbleweeds,l,/,18:24
superflyI am not sure if the OpenID module supports that, but I'll have a look18:24
tumbleweedsuperfly: I swear I've seen ubuntu drupal sites that just have a login button, that takes youstraight to ubuntu singlesignon18:25
superflyhrm18:25
tumbleweedthere's http://91.189.93.73/ but it's drupal 7 (and I think the openid module was hacked to death, to expose certain LP groups to that site)18:26
superflyif you can point one out to me, I'll have a look at what they do and see if I can replicated it18:26
superfly*replicate18:26
superflyah18:26
Kilosguys is it not wise to give spammers a taste of their own medicine18:26

superflyhi hi Langjan18:29
