[01:21] * phillip is trying to connect my hp RJ316AA to ubuntu_studio 11.10 running xfce any help? [01:21] bluetooth pc card mouse [01:22] phillip, that sounds more like a support question than a devel one :) might i suggest you ask on #xubuntu ? [01:29] That sounds more like a UbuntuStudio question... [01:37] ok ty [03:28] hey, i just got an initial release for the menu manager up [03:29] and i put it on a ppa: https://launchpad.net/~edii/+archive/xubuntu-menu-manager [03:29] not sure if it's packaged correctly and all :D [03:30] anyhow, if someone could take a look at it and report back to me :) (if it even works.. only tested on my own workstation and a clean xubuntu install on vbox) [05:32] ochosi: apologies, was out of town this weekend (no updates anyway, all is on list) [09:26] pleia2: no problem, i just started pinging everyone to get at least some updates for the informal meeting :) [09:26] edii: k, i'm taking a look now [09:28] knome: btw, testing stuff like the xubuntu-menu-manager or greybird-git or the patched datetime plugin really call for reviving the xubuntu-dev ppa. having those things in a single place would make life for testers easier i guess [09:33] Datetime seems to match with greybird, but I don't know hwat it looked like in the older version [09:38] Unit193: this is how it's supposed to look with greybird from git: http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/screenshot-11282011-103801am.php [09:39] Danit, that blackbird looks so much better :P [09:39] Guess I'll have to install that to do actual test [09:39] that's still greybird :) [09:40] it's just that the package in the ppa isn't new enough [09:40] blackbird is still very unfinished, it'd take quite a bit of time that i don't have atm [09:41] Oh, I was making a joke, didn't know there was a Blackbird [09:41] hehe [09:41] there is [09:41] but it's mainly greybird with a different color-set [09:41] and it'd need tweaking in quite a few places before i'd call it usable [09:43] So greybird got darker? Or personal edit? [09:44] edii: you menu manager seems to work. but it adds four items by default (term, mail, browse, filem), which might be annoying. also: it adds xfrun which it seems i can't remove anymore. (i guess you know all that anyway ;) ). it also added additional separators to the menu that don't go away if i remove the bookmarks [09:45] Unit193: there was a demand for a really dark theme, not albatross-like or ambiance (which are mixed) , but really darker like NOX. if i have time i'll try to do that [09:47] edii: i also have a few remarks about the interface. the frames are a bit too much imo, simple headers (e.g. just make them bold) would work better. it also seems that the list of apps doesn't reflect the currently selected icon-theme (it uses tango or gnome i think) which could cause confusion [09:52] Oh, looks like you just made the panel dark :P I'd wait and take a good long look at "Blackbird" actually... [09:53] i'm currently using a semi-transparent panel with greybird, #000 as solid bg-color and 70% alpha [09:53] you can try that with a few clicks of the mouse if you like (panel preferences) [09:54] I'd have to switch back to greybird again (And I'm trying to get to sleepmode, 04:54) [09:54] right, what are you using atm? [09:56] One I found on xfce-look. That didn't seem to change all the panel "sections" [09:57] mhm, many gtk-themes aren't xfce complete unfortunately [09:57] No, I switched to Greybird [09:58] good choice ;) [09:59] For testing this* [10:07] . [10:18] ? [10:41] whoops [10:41] :) [11:03] ochosi, hehe yeah yeah, i didn't say we shouldn't use it :) [11:11] madnick, ? [15:46] is there any Icelandic translation for xubbuntu? [15:56] no clue tbh :) [16:12] https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-is seems to indicate there is [16:17] rather, https://translations.xfce.org/projects/p/xfce/team/is/ [16:17] last commit 1y ago [16:18] (and anyway, mm1nd already left...) [16:20] Interesting, they use different translation teams [16:21] knome: ? [20:36] http://91.189.93.73/qatracker/milestones/204/builds/7196/testcases/138/results [20:36] :D [20:36] probably the first presice test [20:40] Precise? [20:40] +1 [20:41] Maybe for Xubuntu, but not overall [20:41] :P [20:41] yeah i meant xubuntu [20:42] well theres only two tests on the tracker :P [22:25] any way to make silverlight work in oneiric? [22:25] knome: moonlight [22:26] moonlight was dropped from the archive :) [22:26] madnick, won't work with ff8 [22:26] no idea then :P [22:26] micahg, fix it?? [22:26] micahg, i need a relatively new version too... [22:30] knome: no, it's gone :) Microsoft dropped it also :) [22:31] knome: the version in natty-propsoed might work [22:34] m$ dropped silverlight? [22:35] Metro ;P [22:36] any possibilities getting silverlight working with wine? :PP [22:37] its dead right? [23:14] knome, what do you want silverlight for? if i can ask [23:44] can someone please explain me how to sign the launchpad code of conduct? [23:45] GridCube: you need to generate a key [23:46] ok ill melt some bronze [23:46] ;) [23:46] If you click on that place [23:46] There is a step by step tutorial [23:46] its for ubuntu pre unity [23:46] pre unity? [23:46] not even for current ubuntu [23:47] oh [23:47] GridCube: tbh i just used seahorse [23:47] dont even know what that is [23:48] http://live.gnome.org/Seahorse [23:48] its in the repo
