sagacihead_victim, ping07:31
head_victimsagaci: how do you know when I sit down at my desk :/07:32
sagacimagic07:32
head_victimI'm a little concerned. But what can I do for you :)07:32
sagaciI created a branch under the ubuntu-au translators which I'll aim to keep up to date with the latest set of translation templates for en_AU07:33
sagaciit's around 63mb but it'll be a great way to grep strings and keep up to date if anyone wants to help with it07:33
sagaci63mb to branch and then maybe a few hundred kilobytes to update each month07:34
head_victimSure :) I really should look into how launchpad code stuff works one of these days07:35
sagacii've done color, dialog, analog and a few others but I think we'll have to do a few more over since the strings we translated in the past month seem to have copied over to precise but we can't edit them directly07:36
sagacihead_victim, https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric08:53
head_victimsagaci: nice work. You and jaddi should really be proud10:35
sagaciso do you think you'll be able to spare a bit of time to fix the mistakes10:37
head_victimThere are mistakes?10:37
head_victimOr you mean the download and grep?10:38
sagaciyeah, the latter10:38
head_victimsure, bearing in mind my technical skills are limited I don't mind helping with what I can (I barely understand trunks and branches)10:39
head_victimWell I get them, I just don't get the workflow of how it all fits together10:40
sagacibranch the branch, update as necessary, it's just a folder with all the most up-to-date en_AU files and you just grep strings and then search for the package name, then search for the mistake string via the web interface10:42
sagaciwell you grep the string, output it to a file then grep that file for msgstr10:43
head_victimSounds like I need to whip up some bash10:43
head_victimLet me guess though, going through your youtube how to's would be useful for setting up for this sort of thing?10:45
sagacinah, it looks like you've got an ssh key, that's all you really need10:46
head_victimYeah I have a key. I lost the original one so updated it and made sure I did it right. The first time I had no idea what I was doing I was "just doing it to sign the CoC" like a lot of newer types. 10:46
sagaciwell you just have to do it with an install which has the correct ssh key attached to it10:48
sagaciyou can have multiple ssh keys for different machines10:48
head_victimYeah I figured doing one properly would be a good start. I'm just updating the 12.04 vm now. I'll probably do it in that10:48
head_victimThe update manager has been a bit flakey lately so I've been trying to use it to see if I can cause the crash in a repeatable manner. No luck so far.10:49
sagacihttp://paste.ubuntu.com/755885/10:57
sagacihead_victim, ^10:57
sagaciprobably could be made into a shell script for auto use but haven't got around to that yet10:58
sagaciif it's your first time doing a bzr branch, you'll have to type yes to authenticate10:59
sagaciand your ssh password too10:59
head_victimI was just going through help files about that, you mean when it states it can't authenticate bazaar.launchpad.net?10:59
sagacidelta packs are updated every 4 days10:59
sagaciyeah11:00
head_victimHmm gpg has my key listed by bzr is throwing connection errors about permissions11:00
sagaciactually you need to tweak some things11:02
head_victimYeah I'll have a play :)11:02
sagacibzr whoami "Jared Norris <jared@email.com>"11:02
head_victimDone :D11:02
head_victimGoogle and man are my friends :11:02
sagaciand bzr launchpad-login yourlogingoeshere11:02
head_victimDone :)11:03
sagacitry to bzr branch11:03
sagaciit's about 10MB11:04
head_victimI'll have to have a play with it another time I think11:08
head_victimI can whoami, I can launchpad-login but still throws permission denied errors11:08
head_victimThe key is listed as being there with gpg11:08
sagaciyou shouldn't need a gpg key, only ssh11:09
head_victimYeah that's probably my issue come to think of it.11:09
head_victimI've been awake too long for new things11:09
head_victimI'll have a poke around when I've had some sleep11:09
sagaciyeah it's the easiest/best way to have the most up to date packages, otherwise you can manually download the base pack and the delta and move the en_AU files over... overwriting them11:10
