[01:16] my launchpad-fu is weak tonight. How do I show all bugs against a particular package in Ubuntu? [01:19] go to that package and click on bugs [01:23] akgraner: thanks [01:23] I ended up searching for the package at the top level of launchpad to get there [01:24] and sadly I found two bug reports, 3 years and 1 year old, describing my issue :/ [01:26] ouch [01:30] that's impressive. lint from an old version of findutils [01:31] dpkg still thinks the file is owned by the package, but it was long since removed [01:33] in the package payload that is. it's still on the filesystem causing problems [01:33] oh well, at least the fix was easy. rm the file then apt-get --reinstall the package [01:56] :-) [01:56] of course my first attempt was to purge and install the package. There's a *reason* it tells you that it's an essential package :) === bladernr_ is now known as bladernr_afk === bladernr_afk is now known as bladernr_ === bladernr_ is now known as bladernr_afk === bladernr_afk is now known as bladernr_
