squidlyI just updated to mythbuntu 11.04 and now my remote is responding with duplicate keys. I found a couple of threads that said if i "echo lirc > /sys/class/rc/rc0/protocols" that will fix it, but when I try that it does not work. Any ideas how I can fix this?00:21
superm1squidly: make sure you have natty-updates repository02:15
superm1there was a fix in natty-updates for lirc02:16
squidlyok I will do that thanks02:32

qwebirc68946superm1: I was able to load the crystalhd dev package on my system but since the build failed the last time I get the message "Cannot pull with rebase: You have unstaged changes.  Please commit or stash them."....is there a way to do a clean on the build process so I can try again?15:39
superm1qwebirc68946: it's a bit annoying when that happens; where did it fail? it was supposed to catch that problem and clean up16:24
superm1qwebirc68946: oh but considering the reason it failed, there is no cleanup in there i see now16:25
superm1quilt pop -aqf followed by debian/rules clean should cleanup16:25
superm1qwebirc68946: I backported all the crystalhd packages to both 0.24 and 0.25 PPAs.  as soon as there are some upstream changes on each they'll kick off another build16:26
qwebirc68946superm1: Sorry, didn't wait long enough for your answer...I deleted my git and bzr-fixes directory and rebuilt and it finished fine....now I changed the rules file but the bzr commit command has an error16:42
qwebirc68946bzr: ERROR: No Working Tree exists for file16:42
superm1qwebirc68946: well now the packaging in bzr-fixes already has the call for --enable-crystalhd16:42
superm1since i backported the crystalhd packages to the PPAs16:42
superm1so you shouldn't need to modify debian/rules and commit16:43
qwebirc68946thanks for enabling that in the PPA hopefully nothing breaks by enabling it :)16:43
superm1yeah hopefully :)16:43
superm1and actually as soon as there is a change in 0.24 done upstream it'll build there16:43
superm1so you wouldn't need to be doing this local build anymore16:43
qwebirc68946ah....so just do a pull on the packaging tree?16:44
superm1yeap16:44
qwebirc68946cool...I'll give it a try since I'm impatient for a bug fix to 0.24/fixes :)16:45
qwebirc22298superm1: I can't truly test until I get home but it looks like the latest compile is working with crystalhd....I was able to create a playback profile with the crystalhd as the decoder19:10
superm1qwebirc22298: well that's awesome news19:11
qwebirc22298I did have to install the libcrystalhd3 package from that site you posted yesterday though....how will that work with your builds?19:11
qwebirc22298It wouldn't configure libmyth-0.24 without it19:11
superm1qwebirc22298: libcrystalhd3 is also on the PPA19:31
superm1so i suspect people will have to apt-get dist-upgrade19:32
superm1or use update manager's partial upgrade mode to install it19:32
qwebirc22298I'm on 11.10 with the mythbuntu-repos enabled...will it get the lib automatically?19:33
qwebirc22298Oh and this shows up in my mythfrontend.log file so it looks promising19:36
qwebirc222982011-12-02 13:49:52.548 CrystalHD: Device: BCM7001519:36
qwebirc222982011-12-02 13:49:52.549 CrystalHD: Library : 22.0.563519:36
qwebirc222982011-12-02 13:49:52.549 CrystalHD: Driver  : 10.0.16319:36
qwebirc222982011-12-02 13:49:52.549 CrystalHD: Firmware: 60.39.11760121919:37
superm1qwebirc22298: yes you should get the library automatically I would expect19:39
superm1it's on the 0.24 and 0.25 PPAs both19:39
qwebirc22298just wanted to make sure this change didn't break everyone else :)19:40
superm1i sure hope not :)19:40
superm1it's akin to what we've done in the past when enabling features.  had to do the same thing with libva and x26419:41
qwebirc7168web irc kicked me out.....cool...thanks again for your help19:43
superm1sure, looking forward to hearing how well it works when you get to play with it when you get home19:49
