[05:46] Hi just wanted to give feedback on the 4.7.4 ppa updates. After updating Desktop effects start, the screen freezes then I get a popup about effects too slow and thus disabled. I deleted .kde and logged in and it was fine. However after another login the problem is back. Kwin error output is here. http://paste.kde.org/174524/ [05:48] kio_http: And you didn't have this problem with 4.7.3? [05:49] No [05:49] But on other PC's with different g cards its fine [05:52] Perhaps a driver bug then. [05:52] possibly [05:52] I'd file a bug against kwin on b.k.o and see what they say if it's repeatable. [05:53] I'll do that. I have the same issue with normal drivers and xorg-edgers versions [06:55] No cakeman yet? guess I have to wait till he wakes up :( [08:28] debfx: ah, now I understand the patch [08:28] of course it ought to be done in kdelibs and then reimported to phonon [08:28] as that file is mostl imports from kdelibs [08:31] apachelogger: it is also done in kdelibs (FindKDE4Internal.cmake) [08:31] then I shall copy from there [08:31] debfx: if you could poke me tomorrow that'd be great [08:31] so I do not forget [08:31] * apachelogger is busy all day today [08:32] at least the CMAKE_PLATFORM_IMPLICIT_LINK_DIRECTORIES bit, I've submitted another merge request for kdelibs to add CXX [08:33] can do [08:33] debfx: well, if you can get alex to do the CXX version by tomorrow evening it can be in phonon 4.6 [08:34] as I plan to release tomorrow [08:38] apachelogger: should I subscribe him to the review request? what's his account name? [08:40] *shrug* [08:40] neundorf@kde.org is his mail addy [12:10] Riddell: we don't have libphonon-dbg? [12:10] oh, wihtout the lib [13:02] tsdgeos: the -dbg packages typically come from debian, all packages have ddebs which are made by ubuntu's buildds [13:41] debfx: uh oh [13:41] make[4]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib/libphonon.so', needed by `lib/libklinkstatuscommon.so.4.0.0'. Stop. [13:41] is that the fault of kdewebdev or or phonon? [13:42] sounds like a broken cmake config file somewhere [13:42] oh no, hardcoded library paths again === yofel_ is now known as yofel [13:43] Riddell: you can grep /usr/share/cmake-2.8 and /usr/lib/cmake for /usr/lib/libphonon.so to see which library hardcodes it [13:46] my own kde4libs needing a rebuild modules/KDELibs4LibraryTargets-debian.cmake: IMPORTED_LINK_INTERFACE_LIBRARIES_DEBIAN "/usr/lib/libphonon.so;KDE4__kparts;KDE4__kjs;KDE4__kio;KDE4__kdeui;KDE4__kdecore;Qt4::QtCore;Qt4::QtGui" [14:00] hmm, kfloppy, tempted not to bother packaging it since nobody will test it [14:02] Riddell: lol, yeah. [14:03] Riddell: btw, even though its not a kubuntu thing, do you know if anyone is planning to package razor-qt? [14:03] http://yarpen.cz/rants/?p=43 [14:06] jussi: I've never heard of it [14:06] jussi: file a needs-packaging bug if you want it [16:59] ninjas: what's wrong with kiten? it doesn't compile in the PPA but I don't see an error message [17:04] [ 98%] make[4]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib/libphonon.so', needed by `app/kiten'. Stop. [17:07] ah hah [17:08] I'll retry [17:17] Riddell: you're uploading to the archive again [17:32] Topic says 4.7.80 still merging? on the 13th when 4.7.90 was out on the 7th? === Yuriy__ is now known as yuriy [19:26] Hey there, I use Kubuntu Lucid Lynx, and for a few weeks now I haven't been getting notifications of updates in my tray like I used to. I haven't changed anything. The package manager settings are such that I should be notified, and I haven't deleted any widgets. Is there something I can do to fix this? [19:34] There used to be an update notification icon in the System Tray. Can someone here please tell me which developer works on that? === Guest78567 is now known as zkriesse
