UnguidedHello All. Newb question: Mythbuntu is the ever attempt at installing linux of any sort. I bought a newbie book but all the screens are different. I think it has to do with xfce desktop. If I install ubuntu then add myth to it will that give me the "regular" screens and will it make it easier for me to manage and learn?02:47

dekarlhdpvr, does the user account have access to the /dev/video* node?19:35
dekarlwhat is an ATI tuner card? Do you mean old skool video capture stuff on a graphics card?19:35

Aliv3k thanks19:40
dekarlit depends in the kind of analog device, see http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Video_capture_card19:41
