dpmmorning everyone09:31
sagacihi dpm10:29
dpmhey sagaci10:34
dpmhey everyone, I'm working on the precise language packs. Would anyone be able to help me testing them in Precise? My Precise install just kernel panic'ed...11:32
icerootdpm: you are using an eeepc?12:37
icerootbecause of the panics12:38
icerootERROR: apport (pid 24638) Wed Jan  4 13:29:55 2012: is_closing_session(): no DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS in environment12:38
icerootERROR: apport (pid 24638) Wed Jan  4 13:29:55 2012: apport: report /var/crash/_usr_sbin_citserver.0.crash already exists and unseen, doing nothing to avoid disk usage DoS12:38
iceroothttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/86950212:38
ubot4Launchpad bug 869502 in linux (Ubuntu) (and 1 other project) "Kernel-Panic with 3.0.0.12-generic on asus eee pcs and msi wind (both using rt2800 wifi chipset) (affects: 64) (dups: 5) (heat: 342)" [High,Triaged]12:38
dpmiceroot, I've got an msi wind, which seems to be affected by the bug, thanks for the pointer!12:43
icerootdpm: we have a workaround12:43
icerootfinally a working workaround :)12:44
icerootiwconfig wlan0 power off12:44
dpmgreat, thanks! I'll try that12:46
dpmunfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working for me12:48
dpmI get the panic even before the desktop loads12:49
dpmand executing the command in recovery mode12:49
icerootyou are getting the panic always?12:49
dpmyeah12:49
icerootmaybe start the system wit 2.6.38 (if you still have it) worked also here12:49
dpmI don't have it, but let me try an older 3.x version...12:50
dpmlooking better... fingers crossed :)12:51
dpmyeah, desktop loads with the old kernel \o/12:52
iceroot:)12:52
icerootmaybe its not "our" wifi-issue then, because all 3.x are affected12:52
dpmI think I'm going to get the wifi issue on top of that12:52
icerootif you have the rt2800pci yes you will hit that for sure12:53
sagacikelemengabor: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/libdebconf-kde and https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/xen-3.3 appear to be dropped... that should be all of the stray universe/dropped packages13:25
kelemengaborsagaci: thanks, libdebconf-kde disabled in precise, oneiric, natty, xen-3.3 disabled in precise, oneiric13:32
kelemengaboralso, if anyone wonders, earlier I have disabled plasma-widget-quickaccess in oneiric and precise13:34
dpmprecise language packs being uploaded...13:40
kelemengaborstill on the topic of templates to be disabled: I took a look at texlive-bin, which ships a texinfo template, same as the one shipped by the texinfo package. Looks like this texlive-bin package contains the source of several libraries, some of which contain pot files. I think it is safe to disable these, as we did this already in the past. also, there are three templates: texinfo, which has a template path no longer in bzr, x14:08

icerootkelemengabor: is that already upstream fixed?14:11
kelemengabordo you feel like testing a .deb? I'm not 100% sure that everything is right, but cannot test it in lack of an Exchange account.14:11
icerootkelemengabor: sure14:12
kelemengaborno, this is only a beta patch on localhost14:12

kelemengaboralthough yesterday I got an old evo-exchange bug of mine closed with "this is dead"14:14
kelemengaboryes, this was made on a checkout from yesterday14:14
icerootkelemengabor: ok just for the info, no problem for me14:14
kelemengaborthe only change is I think the g_trhead_init FTBFS, but that is included in my patch too14:15
icerootyes i read something about in changelog today14:15
kelemengaborI'll remove it, it was just quicker this way14:16
icerootkelemengabor: perfect, your version is complety shown in german14:19

iceroot** WARNING **: LDAP authentication failed (0xffffffff (Can't contact LDAP server))14:20
icerootbut i dont think that is an issue of your evo-exchange14:20
kelemengaborshouldn't be14:20
icerooti will do some testing on the ldap-thing because i never set up ldap but i will do testings with ubuntu314:21

kelemengaboriceroot: you are welcome :)17:25
kelemengaborum, I see that is was fixed by an upstream developer - that was not my doing, sorry :(17:30
