[00:01] broder: you have to build mesa with --enable-xa, install libxatracker and xatracker.pc, then rebuild xf86-video-vmware master with those installed, its not in edgers yet [00:01] ah, ok [00:01] i'll, uh, probably wait until somebody else has done the hard work for me :) [00:02] it'll be in the archive next week hopefully :) [00:03] We'll get a 7.12/8.0 release branch by then, right? :) [00:03] Prf_Jakob said friday or monday, intel guys said christmas, hoping so :) [00:03] RAOF: thats mostly up to the intel guys [00:04] been all kinds of fun shoving crap in the past few days, xcb fun [00:04] we are waiting for them [00:06] RAOF: huey? :) [00:06] Sarvatt: I'll stick it in my suitcase :) [00:06] having to use vga through a kvm on one of my machines, desperately needs color correction [00:22] hi looks like the latest x-edgers mesa is broken due to a build option change: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2012-January/016748.html [00:23] causing me to run into this on oneiric amd64: libGL.so: undefined reference to `xcb_glx_set_client_info_arb' [00:25] tomreyn: update [00:25] fixed that this morning [00:27] gah sorry [00:27] mid.gmane.org/20120104204434.68DEF1004B@kemper.freedesktop.org [00:28] was the fix [00:35] thanks. time to reboot [00:40] yup, looks good now. [15:42] Also make sure you don't have a old one installed :-/ === yofel_ is now known as yofel [20:33] so... any ideas about why I'd be getting memory corruption that seems to center around gnome+libxi if I use ubuntu gnome packages (gnome-session, gnome-settings-daemon, etc) w/ vanilla upstream xorg rebuilt from git (ie. without multitouch patches)? [21:30] ok, seems to work better of I edit library path so gnome picks up libs from my private build (/usr/local/xorg/lib) rather than /usr/lib/$ARCH/.. [21:31] does seem like there is some problem with some of the libs (libxi) talking to a non ubuntu xserver [21:33] hmm.. maybe I speak too soon.. startx at least survives, but once running still get lots of things closing unexpectedly.. === bryceh_ is now known as bryce
