thumperwgrant: hi02:14
thumperdo you or StevenK know about the epoc problem with recipe builds?02:14
thumperhow do we fix that?02:14
thumperthis is to do with a compiz daily build02:14
wgrantWhich epoch problem?02:16
thumperwgrant: https://code.launchpad.net/~alexlauni/+recipe/compiz-core-daily02:19
thumperwgrant: the version created by the normal deb process has a 1: at the start of the version02:20
wgrantthumper: The recipe's version template doesn't have an epoch...02:20
thumperno... no it doesn't02:21
wgrantFixing that may help :)02:21
thumperthe epoch isn't a valid option02:21
thumperis it?02:21
wgrantIt accepts a 1: prefix fine.02:22
wgrantBut you can't extract it from the changelog automatically, no.02:22
wgrantIt's not part of the upstream version.02:22
thumperhmm...02:22
thumperok02:22
thumperI'll try that02:22
virohey03:19
thumperhey...03:47
thumpershouldn't #12345 be linked to a bug in the description area?03:47
thumperwhat is the bug linking regex?03:48
spmo/ thumper03:49
thumperhi spm03:52
wgrantthumper: There are more objects in Launchpad than bugs :)03:55
thumperwgrant: yeah...03:55
thumperwgrant: so bug 1234503:55

apwadeuring, symptoms, symptoms09:54
adeuring;)09:55
adeuringapw: bug 87425009:58
ubot5Launchpad bug 874250 in Launchpad itself "BugNomination:+editstatus timeout for bugs with many tasks" [Critical,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/87425009:58
wgrantI probably fixed that today.09:59
adeuringapmy guessfrom the OOPS report would be that this bug has more than 50 bug tasks09:59
adeuringwgrant: yay!09:59
apwwgrant, at the time i was getting the errors about 25, now it has more10:05
apwadeuring, ^^ even10:05
wgrantRight, it looks like there were around 28 tasks at the time.10:05
wgrantNow there's 5110:05
wgrantAll well above what was intended: ~510:06
apwwgrant, i have been pressing accept10:06
wgrantBut it should work, there's just some terrible code that I deleted today.10:06
apwwgrant, what is the expected use model when a bug affects many packages10:06
apwthe bugs in question being CVEs10:06
wgrantapw: Well, it wasn't expected that packages would be duplicated 10 times.10:08
wgrantlinux is sort of abusing the system :)10:08
apwwgrant, so did i get the hint that the next release might be ok and i can forget about it, or do i need to go figure out a new process to avoid this limitiation10:09
wgrantapw: It will probably work some time next week.10:10
wgrantOnce I get today's branches landed and deployed.10:10
apwok, then i can ignore it, thanks wgrant10:10

dpmhi launchpadders. I've just noticed the mailing list archives in lp seem to have lost the styling and are displayed in plain html. I'm not sure if it's know or an issue with my browser, so I thought I'd give a heads up just in case - https://lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-l10n-hi/14:06
rick_hdpm: looking, thanks for the heads up14:07
rick_hdpm: looks like a broken icing link, will file a bug14:07
dpmno worries, thanks rick_h14:08

rick_hdpm: ping, I was told you might know or have an idea if there's a way to mass download .pot files for a language?14:55
rick_hdpm: I've got someone that wants to download all spanish .pot for ubuntu to work on14:55
dpmrick_h, for projects, only project owners can do that. For distros, and in particular Ubuntu, only the source package maintainers, rosetta-admins and the ubuntu-translations coordinators teams can download the .pot files, if I remember correctly. In any case, the caveat here is that for Ubuntu you can only do it on a single source package basis, you cannot download them all at once. What did the person who ask you want to do with all those .pot files?15:04
rick_hdpm: I assume to work on them, but wasn't specific.15:04
rick_hdpm:  " This would allow us to perform15:05
rick_hsome consistency checks using automated means, do some terminological15:05
rick_hresearch, etc. "15:05
dpmrick_h, actually, there is a way to download everything, but only the PO files, which is I think what they'd need, not the POT files: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/Exporting#Full15:07
dpmthey'd be getting them from the language pack tarballs that LP regularly exports15:08
rick_hdpm: ah sorry, that's what he asked for. I added the t from habit15:08
dpmno worries :)15:08
dpmI think that page in the wiki should tell them all they need15:08
rick_hdpm: awesome, this looks perfect15:09
rick_hthanks!15:09
dpmrick_h, glad to help :) btw, if they want to do actual translations as opposed to processing them, they should get in touch with the ubuntu spanish translation team, which does the translations online15:09
rick_hdpm: I think this person is part of that team15:10
dpmah, cool, in that case he/she should be on the loop15:10
rick_hsorry, closed the window. looking15:10
rick_hdpm: Nacho Perea "part of the Ubuntu translators/reviewers team"15:12
rick_hso maybe not spanish translation team specifically, not familar with the setup15:12
