[00:00] hi i`am problem [00:00] help me [00:00] my problem is that when you minimize a program appears on the bottom bar i`am ubuntu [10:04] Sorry for asking, but may , but it's the first time I found this irc channel, and want to ask if I can report here a bug, and ask for help solving or smth like that ? [10:07] * glosoli lost connection [10:08] glosoli: this channel is for triaging and related questions mostly [10:08] see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs for instructions on how to report a bug [10:10] roignac: my english isn't that good, would you mind explaining what's triaging ? [10:11] roignac: the bug was already reported. In Oneric, but they made it to come up in Precise.... makes be sad [10:18] glosoli: triaging is setting correct status/severity for bug, also forwarding to other bug trackers [10:18] glosoli: could you please try to reproduce it in precise? You may also paste bug number here, I'll try to verify it on Precise [10:24] roignac: Ah, i have seen there was a different problem on report. My problem is I can't disable dim screen, i open power managament and less in the half second it hides dim feature. But when I don't use computer for some seconds, it tries to dim the sceeen which is already and lowest brightness, and then I move mouse it comes to Full brightness [10:41] Running Precise my touchpad sometimes doesnt work. What package should I report this bug against? [10:41] glosoli: coudl you please paste the bug url here? [10:42] trijntje: that is xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection [10:44] roignac: cool, thanks a lot! [10:44] roignac: Sorry I said it was my fault, thought that bug was exact for me, but when I read comments and read bug report again, it occured that's not the same problem.... [15:11] AnAnt, that's correct, you can only upgrade to 12.04 directly once its released as stable. Also, this is the BUgs Team support, 12.04 support is in #ubuntu+1 [15:11] aha [15:12] ah, #ubuntu-bugs is for released distros ? [15:12] this is the channel for the Bug Squad [15:12] they deal with a lot of the bugs you find in Ubuntu, but handle the reports and what not [15:12] support is in #ubuntu for current releases (including the LTS), and #ubuntu+1 for 12.04 beta [15:13] i came in here to ask a question about bug triaging, but then i fell asleep in front of my computer and therefore never left here xD [15:13] EvilResistance: but shouldn't the upgrade from LTS to LTS+1 be tested before release ? [15:14] AnAnt: it'll probably be tested at some point, yes. But a lot of people here recommend *not* upgrading on a production system or on a regular-use system [15:15] also, i'd ask these questions in #ubuntu+1, i think at least a few of the Precise devs are there [15:15] ok [15:17] thanks === bulldog98_ is now known as bulldog98 [16:43] for the record, yes, the upgrade 10.04 -> 12.04 *is* being tested.
