[09:09] good morning everyone === Claudinux_ is now known as Claudinux === Claudinux_ is now known as Claudinux [10:21] Hi there, I got a question: [10:21] Where can we translate tags and quicklists for Firefox, Thunderbird and LibreOffice? (I found nothing on Launchpad) [10:52] Malizor: see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/Wanted [10:56] artnay: thanks! [11:06] However, some things are missing. For example, there is no tags for Firefox or Thunderbird. This is a bug. [11:06] eg. in French you can't find Thunderbird in Unity dash if you type "mail" because it was translated to "courriel". This is the correct French translation, but some people still use the "mail" world in their daily life. So we need a way to add it as a keyword in the desktop file. [11:07] s/world/word [11:08] I will report it if it was not already done. [11:33] * jokerdino pings dpm [11:34] the translation stat server is down? [11:35] jokerdino, let me check [11:39] jokerdino, up again, thanks for the heads up! [11:39] w00t, awesome work. thanks [11:40] it seems the cloud instance randomly looses the public ip address [11:41] weirdish problem, i guess [11:41] our group is making some awesome progress [11:41] http://91.189.93.77/stats/precise/ta i am loving the download going graph [11:57] there's something wrong with the rewrite rules, e.g. I get 404 on http://91.189.93.77/stats/precise/precise/fi === greyback is now known as greyback|lunch [11:58] precise twice on all links here: http://91.189.93.77/stats/precise/ [12:00] artnay, I know, I noticed, but didn't have time to fix it. Thanks for the heads up [12:01] jokerdino, wow, awesome, good job! [12:02] heh i meant downward not download.. [12:02] artnay, as a workaround, try http://91.189.93.77/stats/precise (without the forward slash) [12:02] we should be hitting 75% in a week. [12:02] that's absolutely brilliant! [12:04] we should hopefully be able to hit 80% eventually. [12:04] in any case, if we hit 80% after the deadline, will we make it for the point releases? [12:06] jokerdino, you'll make it for release too [12:06] so the lang packs will be updated, i see [12:07] we'll be including all the translations that you do up to the deadline, and after that, we'll release a language pack 2-3 weeks after release [12:07] which should include all translations done after the deadline [12:07] that's great! [12:08] TLE, there were problems with the Natty language pack export. It's been rescheduled to start next Wed (the 14th), and should be ready by late afternoon on that same day. [12:09] dpm: ok, let me know how it goes [12:56] Could someone please moderate my email to the ubuntu-translators list? [12:58] I would like to get a UIFe for bug 938076 [13:19] ahhh, my dual screen crazyness bug has been fixed in precise, before I got around to report it [13:26] Hi, I'm back with a question about LibreOffice. [13:26] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/Wanted say that .desktop are translated upstream [13:27] But I checkout the code and I found nothing. [13:28] I then found out that Unity quicklists (and relative translations) are set in an Ubuntu patch. [13:28] (I downloaded https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libreoffice_3.5.0-2ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz) [13:28] So this is definitively not upstream. [13:30] So, as I just want to add a "keywords" section in libreoffice-*.desktop, should I see upstream or downstream in Ubuntu? [13:31] And where will translations take place? === greyback|lunch is now known as greyback [14:04] Malizor: about the quicklists, you are right, these were translated downstream, on the subpages of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/Wanted [14:05] now the maintainer of the LO packages has changed it from tables used to collect the translations to the current content [14:05] this is something we should sort out [14:05] dpm: ping, any opinion on the above? [14:06] current translations are added by: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-openoffice/libreoffice.git;a=blob;f=patches/ubuntu-quicklists.diff;hb=3a35677b0a27604b21b99434c6143c711aef5574 [14:07] and I don't even see them to work for my language, strange [14:08] kelemengabor I just reported a bug about this: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libreoffice_3.5.0-2ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz [14:08] sorry: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/950825 [14:10] dpm: lol, there is this: Name[hu]=New Spreadsheet for all languages in all /usr/share/applications/libreoffice*desktop [14:11] I also just reported a bug to ask to add keywords (so I'm still not sure it was the right place for that) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/950834 [14:11] kelemengabor, so the Hungarian are taking over the desktop, big style? ;) [14:11] Malizor: thanks! [14:12] dpm: no, the language code is not constant, but everything else is :D [14:12] :) [14:12] Malizor, kelemengabor, I'm in the middle of something right now. Do you think you could talk to SweetShark on #ubuntu-devel about this? He's the LO Ubuntu maintainer and also upstream developer [14:12] or on #ubuntu-desktop [14:13] dpm: not right now, sorry [14:13] gotta run [14:13] no worries [14:13] I will try to find him. [14:13] thanks Malizor [14:17] dpm: also, I still see langpack version 20120221 in precise, do you know anything about this? [14:18] kelemengabor, will investigate [14:18] the crontab file says the export is enabled, I have no idea [14:18] thanks === bulldog98_ is now known as bulldog98
