vegerCould someone set bug #562277 to wishlist?11:15
ubot2`Launchpad bug 562277 in plasma-widget-networkmanagement "Should have a button to pop up information about current connection" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/56227711:15
vegerand I suppose my next course of action is to file an upstream report?11:15
dannylaFrom what I can tell, Bug #962058 is an Internet connectivity issue that the user is experiencing. Should it be converted to a question, or set to invalid ? ( The Bug is also not in English )11:46
ubot2`Launchpad bug 962058 in evolution "E-Mail läuft nicht Musik läuft nich " [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/96205811:46

bdmurraymvo: what can be done about bug 955077?16:11
ubot2`Launchpad bug 955077 in update-manager "bluetooth mouse disabled during upgrades" [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/95507716:11
wagafoSomebody can take a look at bug 946480 ? It seems to me that there is enough information there, and I can reproduce reliably in Precise16:17
ubot2`Launchpad bug 946480 in uck "Remastering Precise fails on resolv.conf" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/94648016:17

mvobdmurray: uh, that is a tricky one, I would think its because whatever is doing the bluetooth daemon is unpacked but not configured and so the daemon stops and is restarted much later17:04
mvobdmurray: so ideally the daemon would continue running in whatever package that is17:04
mvobdmurray: but I don't know much about bluetooth :/17:05
RedSingularitymvo: still there?17:18
RedSingularitymvo: if you get a chance, what do you make of this traceback? http://pastebin.com/Khb0d3FB17:20
jibelRedSingularity, which release is it ? That would mean that aptdaemon is not installed on the system. bug # ?17:36
jibelthere is obviously a bug in the synaptic backend17:37
RedSingularityjibel: I figured it was a local issue.  The other users commenting on the bug say their systems are fine.  bug 856354  How did you know it was aptdaemon related?17:38
ubot2`Launchpad bug 856354 in update-manager "update-manager: Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_get_pointer: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed" [Low,Invalid] https://launchpad.net/bugs/85635417:38
RedSingularityPost 19 is the user having the issue.17:39
=== zyga-food is now known as zyga
jibelRedSingularity, he's hijacking the report. his issue is different and fixed in Precise.17:47
jibelRedSingularity, ask him to file a new bug report, it's worth an SRU if it is confirmed in Oneiric.17:47
jibelRedSingularity, update-manager uses the synaptic backend as fallback if aptdaemon is not available on the system17:48
jibelRedSingularity, you can force it with "UPDATE_MANAGER_FORCE_BACKEND_SYNAPTIC=1 update-manager"17:48
jibelRedSingularity, then if you install something with update-manager you should see synaptic in the list of running processes17:49
RedSingularityjibel: Ahhh i see.  Alright I will have him file a new report.  Is aptdaemon installed on his system?17:49
RedSingularityjibel: By the way, I did test it on my 11.10 system without issue a few days ago.17:54
jibelRedSingularity, from his crash report it is. But the crash report doesn't seem to have anything to do with his actual problem. The attachments from dist-upgrade/ are from Oct. 2011.17:54
RedSingularityjibel: you know what...I will retest it with that command you stated above.17:55

greg-gbkerensa: randomly linking to bugs in here doesn't get them looked at faster ;)21:03

ubot2`Launchpad bug 562277 in plasma-widget-networkmanagement "Should have a button to pop up information about current connection" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/56227722:37
greg-gveger: can you confirm that the package lacks that feature? (Simply changing the status to "Confirmed" would be great)22:46
greg-gthen yes, I'll change it to Wishlist and suggest you to forward it upstream :)22:47
greg-gveger: do you know how to link upstream bug reports in LP?22:47
vegergreg-g: I'll confirm it (as this feature is indeed missing)23:15
vegerand yes, I know how to send an upstream report, I'll do so tomorrow morning (as it is getting late here)23:16
greg-gveger: awesome, thanks!23:16
greg-gI just set it to wishlist23:16

bkerensagreg-g: ^ oh I know it was a bug I was filing for someone and linking here was more appropriate then elsewhere23:36
