ersiAre there any specific test cases for running the daily build of the Precise images? As in "live session" mode?18:54
ersiHah, why didn't I.. just click on the Test Case link on the ISO Tracker.... :) http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/DesktopLiveSession18:56
ersiHm, are the precise images built with only English on them?19:33
ersiI only see English on precise-desktop-amd64.iso (2012-04-16). The only locales that are generated are en_US.UTF-8 at boot - and only "English - en" is selectable as keyboard layout in the login manager19:34
phillwersi: the release team are currently 'on' that bug :)20:05
ersiphillw: great, great. :)20:06
ersiIt's not much, but I've successfully booted todays image on three hosts20:07
phillwersi: it may hit tomorrows daily build, but will be in for Thursdays RC.20:07
ersiI'll give it a spin as soon as it's available20:08
phillwersi: the RC will arrive at http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker20:08
phillwit also holds the daily builds, they will be suspended come Thusday, as any re-spins will be solely for the RC.20:09
ersiyeah, that's where I grabbed todays build20:10
phillwfrom what I saw on the -release channel, I *think* it will be Tuesdays' rebuild. There is some backlog on how fast the servers doing the rebuilds & incorporating last minute stuff, so please be patient :)20:12
ersiSure thing ;)20:15
ersiphillw: Any idea if the 'classic mode' will be available in the livecd env? Or if it'll only be available after installing~20:18
phillwersi: I'm not sure what you mean by classic mode?20:32
phillwis this to do with themes for ubuntu?20:33
kanliot i think he means20:33
kanliotunity classic 2d mode20:33
kanliotlike the gnome 2 fallback for unity20:33
phillwkanliot: in that case, I cannot assist, I only know the lubuntu desktop systems20:34
=== salem_ is now known as _salem
phillwersi: try asking on #ubuntu+1 they would be best placed to answer that.20:39
ersisound advice, I'll dig on it20:40

phillwhi pinky can you answer / point to where to get an answer "Any idea if the 'classic mode' will be available in the livecd env? Or if it'll only be available after installing"20:53
pinkyphillw: I am not sure, I was actually under the impression that classic mode was not available even after installing.20:54
phillwpinky: thanks, I'm a lubuntu person, so know zero about unity :) I've asked the OP to ask at #ubuntu+1 :)20:55
pinkyno problem20:56
ersiphillw: I got the 'info' about "GNOME Classic mode" from http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/03/gnome-classic-in-ubuntu-12-04-its-like-nothing-ever-changed/21:08
phillwgood, ersi as I said above, I'm a lubuntu person, so know zero about gnome / unity :)21:10
ersiyeah, I did see that the first time. Just filled you in 'cause you poked pinky about it :)21:10
phillwpouncing on a cloak of canonical is always useful :)21:11
ersiah, hah :)21:11

MrJoneshello22:54
MrJonesthe latest Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS nginx update overwrites /var/www/nginx-default/index.html with a default index.html even when it is a valid website file22:55
MrJonesso for people who placed their website exactly there like me, the index file is happily overwritten and has to be restored from backups22:55
hggdhMrJones: please open a  bug on it23:35
