[05:02] any one can help me please? [07:06] I missed MarkDude [15:18] * Darkwing sighs [15:18] * Darkwing eyes teh bot and heads to the offtopic channel... [16:19] we have an offtopic? :D [16:19] #ubuntu-us-ca-offtopic [16:20] apparently I was uninformed as well... [16:20] all sandiegoers! come to UH tonight! :D [16:20] Yeah, I'm trying to get there... [16:21] it's in the topic :P:P [16:22] there's still time for you bay area people to hop on a plane... just sayin. [16:23] Speaking of which, did I hear Bill Kendrick right last night in Davis that you're speaking there next month? [16:23] LOL [16:23] LUGoD is a good group -- I'd never been before last night, but you'll like them. [16:23] Well, UDS might get interesting... [16:23] * kdub goes to uds [16:24] akk, yes. I went there once in High School and thought it was nice. I saw the offer so I took it. [16:24] personally I would never give me a mike, who knows what stupid things I would say... [16:24] Hey, that sounds like half the fun for the audience. :) [16:26] uds, thats like three weeks I think [16:26] Yeah, something like that. [16:26] I got my Clipper card for it ... [16:28] I have a bart map somewhere... Im gonna stay in that area after uds for a week and then go to the maker fair. [16:29] Maker Faire will be Caltrain, not BART. [16:29] ah, good to know. That's pretty easy to navigate. [16:32] as long as you know the times and dont miss the last one [16:32] Yeah. But I don't think Maker Faire goes late, so shouldn't be a problem. [21:27] hehehe http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/480222_311892328880127_100001780878790_730389_897867689_n.jpg <---- Don't worry, it's clean. [21:43] it's made out of ☮, ♥, and ☺ [21:49] zeidoz++ [21:49] greg-g: coming out to balug tonight for grantbow and my 12.04 presentation? :D [21:50] presentation is used loosely, we don't have the upstairs this time so it's all pretty casual [21:50] is that east bay? [21:50] oh no, sf [21:50] chinatown [21:51] i just sent my rsvp a few min ago [21:51] hmmm, this week probably not, we're flying out tomorrow night and tonight will be "oh god its our first time flying with a baby what the heck do we do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" night [21:52] 1) don't forget the baby [21:52] ah, good luck :) [23:03] Hey! two hours till the SD ubuntu hour... [23:13] philipballew_: Planning on being there... [23:15] nice! I will see you there. Are you at a place to check your email? I have a few free things to offer if you want any. [23:15] Darkwing, [23:18] yeah david.wonderly@kubuntu [23:18] .org [23:19] Darkwing, alright, feel free to check your email. [23:28] philipballew: NM on the hour... I don't have the gas ## [23:29] $$ [23:29] dammit... being poor sucks. [23:31] pleia2: I don't see how "Switching our default image to a version that just [23:32] plain won't work on nearly a quarter of the machines users want to use it on [23:32] strikes me as a non-starter." [23:32] follows from the fact that 25% are from 32bit machines [23:32] it didn't say "from 32bit ONLY capable machines" [23:32] no shit that 25% will be from 32bit machines, that's the default iso image download [23:33] oh... wait....... [23:33] * greg-g walks over to the corner and shuts up [23:33] * pleia2 hugs greg-g [23:33] thanks [23:33] * greg-g hugs back [23:34] hey Darkwing, how many miles is it? [23:34] no worries Darkwing [23:34] I'm in IB... so about 28 miles one way. I get paid on thurs. [23:42] well, 23 miles. [23:43] i should have an ubuntu hour during dart tag games [23:48] philipballew: workday ends at 6 for me, so i'll be slightly late to UH [23:50] Plus, I dunno know if I want to answer any Kubuntu questions :P:P [23:50] lol [23:50] That is getting crazier by the day. LOL [23:50] someone on my g+ asked me if kubuntu would still have the same release cycle [23:51] So far Blue Systems (Our new sponser) has convinced two Canonicals employees to quit and jion them to work on Kubuntu full time. [23:51] Canonical isn't going to release the TM so, it looks like they will force us to change names. [23:51] I should have a copypasta version of "kubuntu was the only flavor canonical ever gave a dev, they are still a recognised flavor" [23:51] Yes, it will still have the same release cycle. [23:52] We will still be a flavor of Ubuntu. [23:52] But, we are preparing to get ready for a name change... [23:53] Not sure if it's needed yet but, it's looking like that will be a possibility. [23:54] But, Blue Systems will be pressing CDs at some point, they will also have a budget for swag and travel for us KDE-peeps to go to UDS (If canonical doesn't sponser) as well as other KDE events around the world. [23:56] But, so much is in flux... we will have some great announcements at UDS. [23:56] Plus, I think we are going to demo Plasma-Active (Tablet based) at UDS [23:57] fun :) [23:58] I'm still waiting for Kubuntu or Xubuntu to announce that they're moving to Debianland on a day other than April 1st :< [23:58] Oh yeah, we have a dev that wants to work with us in building MS Exchange into KMail/Akonadi and kdePIM [23:58] dax: I love debian, I really do, but it still isn't very good as a desktop OS :( stuff doesn't work [23:59] which is why we need a nice derivative running a nice desktop environment to clean it all up :P [23:59] So, we have a Desktop, Netbook, Tablet and Mobile with OMAP3 and OMAP4 ARM.
