=== delcoyot1 is now known as delcoyote === zmoylan1 is now known as zmoylan [13:22] mulligans is really going down hill of late [13:22] a victim of it's own success [13:27] oh? ☹ [13:27] * ebel likes mulligans [13:28] I used to love it too [13:53] oh, what's happened to the grocer? [13:54] or is emboss talking about the other mulligans? [14:01] Well a number of issues, which I understand will always be hard for them and that's to retain knoweldgeable waiting staff [14:01] The stocking of a lot of beers that don't sell aswell [14:02] Allowing almost 90% of the bar to be reserved is really off putting [14:02] the quality of food is going down and the menu is not rotating as frequently as it did [14:03] A recent visit the girl brought me the wrong bottle, 4 times... [14:03] in a row.. [14:03] 4 times... [14:03] apart from that, it's aces [14:10] i would never order bottled beer there [14:10] Well they don't have what I drink on draught [14:10] so i've no choice [14:11] all the bottled beer is available across the road for half the price [14:11] the draught beer is changed often [14:11] Yes but obviously I can't bring it into the pub with me [14:11] and on draught the beer usually tastes better [14:11] slashtommy: They ~_never_ have what I drink on draught [14:11] :) [14:11] and never have [14:11] also, there are so few places that serve cask beer [14:11] but that's something I can live with [14:11] what do you drink? [14:12] dunkel hefe [14:12] i'm not fussy on which one [14:13] again, the having to purchase it from a bottle, was never a problem [14:13] ok, i usually go there for the irish craft beer [14:13] getting a good few casks in, which is great to see [14:14] it's not great if you can never get a seat because most of the place has been reserved [14:14] ;) [14:14] friday or saturday you have to book in advance [14:15] in fact, in two weeks time we have the entire restaurant section booked [14:15] slashtommy: what night do people tend to go to the pub? [14:15] if you just want a beer, have you tried the black sheep, brewdock of wj kavanagh? [14:16] although, release party at the black sheep on saturday :) [14:16] we have table reserved! [14:16] i want to go mulligans [14:16] whenever i want [14:16] and have a beer [14:16] :) [14:16] can you organise this? [14:16] it's our local, we go when we want [14:17] so you have no problem getting a seat on fri/sat night then? [14:18] well we often go there on a fri/sat, and just turn up in the bar [14:18] that's not what i asked [14:18] but yes, it is often full with people eating [14:18] right.. [14:18] or often full of reserved tables with no one sitting at them, very annoying :) [14:19] we don't usually have a problem [14:19] well you must be going to a different mulligans than i [14:19] if you're arriving in the evening, after 10pm. there is often room in the restaurant to sit with a beer [14:19] aye, maybe [14:20] a friend who lives in the 'batter went all the way into town to mulligans [14:21] emboss: l mulligan grocer in stoneybatter, right? [14:21] ebel: right.. [14:21] what I will say, when i first started going about two years ago, if they didn't have a certain drink i could email them and they would usually have it in the following week [14:22] you could pretty much arrive anytime any night [14:22] and it was just nice [14:22] no tv [14:22] love it [14:22] it has a lot of good quslities [14:22] it has beer, a rarity in irish pubs [14:22] yeah. you're right. it is getting busy [14:22] so lets keep it as a pub [14:23] if you want just a pub, try the black sheep [14:23] not a place for prententious nit wits to hold tables from 6pm till closing [14:23] where's the black sheep? [14:24] capel street [14:24] the pangolin release party is there on saturday [14:24] 8pm [14:24] also try brew dock beside busáras luas [14:24] table booked in the name of ubuntu ie [14:26] and wj kavanagh on dorset street [14:27] and if you don't like to venture north-side, there is always against the grain on wexford street [14:28] well i live on the northside [14:28] so not much choice [14:28] but to venture here [14:28] :~) [14:28] against the grain was worse [14:28] noisy bulmer drinking teenagers [14:28] horrific [14:28] * emboss is getting old [14:29] they don't serve bulmers [14:29] I'm pretty sure they do [14:29] if not bulmers [14:29] some other rowdy cider [14:29] :~) [14:29] it's a craft beer pub [14:29] i know [14:29] but they had bulmers [14:30] same way some porterhouse sneak in "guiness" [14:30] are you coming to the release party? [14:31] no i have a special italian lady to entertain :) [14:31] emboss: I remember the days when you were sociable :) [14:31] but i am going to venture into the sheep [14:32] czajkowski: I am very socialable, but the love of my life has been missing for a week [14:32] :) [14:33] emboss: you old romantic you [14:33] but I will be spending tomorrow evening installing 12.04 LTS if it manages to reach an ftp server [14:33] emboss: do it today so :) [14:34] I couldn't find an ISO on an irish mirror [14:34] only BETA 2 [14:34] czajkowski: it's a shame you're missing the best thing in the 'batter [14:34] emboss: really [14:34] feck :( [14:34] slashtommy: the chinese? [14:34] ;) [14:35] czajkowski: release day is tomorrow no? [14:35] yarp [14:35] I can wait a day :) [14:44] looking at uk mirror i only see BETA 2 also [14:44] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseNotes/Credits/Developers [14:44] looking good [15:57] oh release party in limerick happening tomorrow [16:01] kewl! === airurando1 is now known as airurando === airurando1 is now known as airurando [21:28] release party in Limerick?
