[00:00] how many channels have you tested? [00:00] i should say, "buffers" really [00:02] i'm currently in 137 buffers in WeeChat and it's using 119MB [00:02] *118MB [00:02] but i'm also running about 10 different scripts too [03:00] anyone around? [03:06] yep [03:06] what's up? [03:07] Howdy. [03:15] o/ [03:16] Can someone ssh -p 443 canthus13.com and tell me if it gets refused? [03:16] ssh: connect to host canthus13.com port 443: Connection refused [03:17] Weird. [03:17] I may have to completely power cycle my router. :/ [03:17] I dun want to.. It'll freak out a bunch of irssi sessions. [03:18] Bunch of sessions? And I don't like to either, you using dd-wrt? [03:18] Yep. [03:19] I've got 443 forwarded appropriately... and the ssh server is listening on 443... I can get to it from inside my network. [03:19] yeah. My wife's, my girlfriends, mine, and my wife's boyfriend's. [03:25] Cheri703: How's you? [03:26] doing alright [08:02] http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/yy313/alsfkwmioen/lost.jpg :D [11:04] morning [11:58] Unable to connect to us.archive.ubuntu.com:http: [IP: 91.189.91.23 80] [11:58] [13:13] okay it worked a minute later for me [14:16] swag [14:16] hey all [18:55] * MaskedDriver is now away - Reason : Meeting [20:04] * MaskedDriver is no longer away : Gone for 1 hour 8 minutes 21 seconds [20:08] Don't really announce scripts for away are all that needed... [20:14] didn't realize I had that on. sorry [20:15] Unit193: ...that sentence made no sense. [20:16] +think, and yes it sure didn't, congrats to him for getting it. :P [20:16] canthus13 I knew what he meant. Got people yelling at me in other channels too [20:16] Heh. [20:16] using a new IRC client that had them on by default. How often do you think to look at that when you log in to a server? [20:17] true. [20:17] * canthus13 likes irssi, sticks with it. :) [20:17] last time I checked, it didn't have the best Windows support ;) [20:18] AH. [20:18] I've seen cases where using an away nick actually makes sense though. :P [20:18] I just run it on my server and use putty to get to it from work. [20:19] I'm testing out ZNC so I want to connect to servers from different clients so I figured I'd install one here [20:22] * canthus13 nods. [20:38] kinda nervous about the data usage though looks like it used 75MB in the last 24 hours so that's not too bad [20:39] wait wait wait.. nvm, I wish I could read [20:39] 2.54MB [20:39] I thought one of the fields said 51MB, it's 51KiB [20:39] heh. [20:40] Running over your cell phone? [20:40] no, Uverse with it's 250GB cap [20:41] but I also have tons of other services running. I use a lot of data [20:41] that 250GB cap is really hard to hit unless you torrent a lot or use netflix. :P [20:41] I HBOGo and Hulu and YouTube like a mad man [20:41] * canthus13 does too, has a 350GB cap, usually runs around 175GB/mo. [20:41] that'd do it. [20:41] web server, exchange server, etc... [20:41] I have a lot going on [20:41] Even fairly heavy netflix users are running around 200GB. [20:42] yeah. I've got a web server, mail server (exchange? You must be some sort of masochist...), shell server running. [20:47] lol.. I do win sysadmin stuff at work and I was least knowledgeable in that so I used my Technet sub to get it all set up [20:47] I really enjoy it [20:48] Ah. I despise exchange. :( [20:48] canthus13: I despise the licensing [20:48] * canthus13 would rather argue with postfix. once it's set up, it works. [20:48] Exchange doesn't scale very well IME. [20:48] not at all [20:49] but in an enterprise situation, it works like a dream with the calendar, contact, etc... sharing [20:49] True. [20:49] one solution instead of having to use multiple solutions [20:49] for my own private dev stuff, it's hardcore overkill [20:49] really no reason for me to use it, but since I have it, I do [20:49] Heh. [20:49] Speaking of postfix.. I need to get that installed and set up again. [20:50] lol talk to you in 6 hours ;) [20:50] don't forget to set your away messages [20:52] I've got a helmet you can borrow for when you start smashing your head against your desk lol [20:52] but yeah, like you said, once it's set up it works great... setting it up is about the most annoying thing in the world. I use it for my outgoing mail on my webserver and stuff like that [20:54] It took me forever to get it to accept mail from off the server... [20:56] I was having the biggest problem with all mail servers... then I learned that port 25 was blocked by my ISP ;) [20:57] luckily the fact that you know what port 25 is and why you want it open is enough argument for them to open it up for you [21:00] We do it simply. If you know what it is, you'll probably want a static IP. we only block it on dynamic IPs. [21:04] how often to you give out static IP to residential customers? lol [21:04] trust me, I've asked [21:04] I wanted a couple of them, actually [21:05] that way I could have 443 going to my web server AND my windows box instead of working around it by changing port numbers around and doing vhost and dns redirects [21:06] We do. 20 bucks a month. [21:06] :( [21:06] you in Michigan? [21:06] up to 3, I think. [21:06] cause I am [21:06] We're in temperance/bedford/ottawa lake. [21:07] right across the state line from Toledo. [21:07] ah [21:07] I'm up north of detroit [21:09] time to go home [21:09] catch you on the flip side [21:10] later. [22:04] woo. [22:04] * canthus13 has webmail up and running now. [22:05] Nice, what are you using? [22:15] squirrelmail. [22:17] and dovecot/postfix. [22:17] still need to get postfix to accept mail from off-server... :/
