[01:20] When does it liven up? [01:21] I don't think I have ever really seen it too lively. [01:22] Just occaisonally a few people come in and start crunching. [01:23] Do you now where I could go for Glade help, then? [01:23] Nah, I'm sorry. [01:23] Perhaps ask #gnome (assuming there is such a channel) [01:26] gnome's chat rooms are on their own network [01:26] is there a channel for this Ubuntu App Showdown thing? [01:26] here, I assume [01:27] cool [01:27] but it's weekend an for many people it's also about 3h30am ;) [01:28] (like for me) [01:28] 2:30 here :) [01:28] is Vala ready for prime-time, or would I be smarter to develop an app in Python? [01:29] I think the showdown is about python apps [01:29] but there are several apps in Ubuntu that are written in Vala, so it's certainly usable [01:30] Python can be a bit of a bitch to refactor, and C/C++ are.. well.. unforgiving and old-fashioned [01:31] other languages (Java, C#) tend have obscene dependencies, though depending on GTK makes things somewhat unportable anyway [01:31] you working on a project Jan? [01:31] actually, Python can be very easy to refactor in some ways, but difficult for development tools to aid refactoring ;) [01:31] I'm not sure whether I want to commit to one [01:33] do you use an IDE for Python? [01:35] not really [01:36] nor me, tend to just hack it out in Gedit / nano [09:17] auappdev: Questions about Ubuntu App Showdown [10:26] hi everyone. is there any documentation about the quickly-widgets signals and their handlers? === amithkk is now known as amith === amith is now known as amithkk [14:34] auappdev: Distributing App Showdown submissions [14:46] auappdev: What you mean by Novelty in Ubuntu App Contest?
