=== chu_ is now known as chu [05:47] Anyone have a really good help poster for 12.04 or know a good website with really, really simple help? [05:47] I finally got the work lunchroom computer with 12.04 so was hoping to print something to put beside it. [06:00] Found a winner I think - http://spreadubuntu.org/files/Selection_051.png [09:45] hey all [09:45] has anyone noticed there's been a boatload of updates for 12.04 ? [09:45] thanks for reminding me ikt [09:45] * md_5 updates [09:46] As in from release date or from 11.10 to 12.04? [09:46] 189 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded. [09:46] Need to get 73.1 MB of archives. [09:46] all of that is libmono-* though [09:46] ah [09:46] since release of 12.04 [09:47] I hadn't noticed more than usual but it could be I guess. [10:01] hrm [10:01] just feels like everytime I turn my laptop or desktop on it has updates [10:01] use it more [10:01] every day is not enough :P [10:18] ikt: apparently not ;) === md_5 is now known as md_5|away [13:01] head_victim, much happen at the last meeting? [13:01] I've decided to give up attempting to join [13:01] I always remember 1 hour before, and then 4 hours after [13:59] ikt: not a lot, seems to be quietened down lately. [13:59] feeling that across the board [13:59] Lots of good intentions, little actions. I keep meaning to do stuff but keep getting snowed at work or elsewhere. [13:59] yup :/ [14:00] saying that [14:00] I'm on day 14 trying to get this backup to go through ._. [14:01] after I've setup the backup and then created a nightly backup script and then installed jabber I'm free [14:01] to catchup on all my uni work I'm missing :/ [14:01] 2 weeks in done nothing [14:11] Yeah, my life is about to get busier again, starting uni in july myself [14:14] nice! [14:14] http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp <- I like how linux is now going sideways :/ [14:16] I see that as doubling within 10 years :) [14:16] More than, nearly 250% [14:16] So in another 10 years it should be 12.5% :) [14:19] woooo [14:19] hopefully [14:19] did you see linus giving the finger to nvidia? [14:20] I saw the finger, didn't see what it was about [14:26] he was saying that he works with a lot of hardware companies to make drivers and make the products run good on linux and nvidia is the worst he's had to deal with [14:26] which is surprising for such a large company [14:27] with such a heavy linux prescence [14:27] I've used nvidia exclusively for the last 3 PC builds purely because they just work. [14:28] Back with my old ATI 9600 I couldn't get it to do 3d despite days of buggering around. [14:28] And on that note, I'm off for the night, gotta be awake again soonish for work :/ [14:32] all good [14:32] have a good one :) === chu_ is now known as chu === md_5|away is now known as md_5
