Riddellgood morning friends08:36
* Riddell uploads kde-l10n world09:53
Riddellagateau: is lightdm in a state worth experimenting for alpha 2 ?10:05
Riddellanyone got gpg agent working?10:08
Riddellmine hasn't for ages10:08
Riddellshadeslayer: do you know what the state of kde-telepathy is in https://launchpad.net/~telepathy-kde/+archive/ppa ?10:23
* yofel_ has been using ligthdm-kde for a while now10:24
yofel_for my simple notebook needs it works fine10:24
=== yofel_ is now known as yofel
yofeloh, one thing I constantly forget10:25
yofelagateau: in the classic lightdm-kde UI: if one inputs the username and then presses tab to input the password, the password field gets the keyboard focus, but without any indication of that (no cursor or whatever). Works, but feels wrong10:26
debfxI encountered two issues when switch from kdm to lightdm-kde: 1) shutdown/restart buttons are not working10:33
debfx2) it didn't pick the kubuntu session (which is the only one), instead it used one that didn't exist so logging in always failed until I manually selected the kubuntu session10:34
yofelthe restart and suspend buttons work here, shutdown doesn't10:38
yofelbut the hibernate button should either be hidden or have a tooltip that says why it's disabled10:39
Riddelldebfx: yep I can confirm those issues10:56
shadeslayerjussi: did you get to test calligra from staging?11:31
shadeslayershould I move it to beta backports?11:31

BluesKajHey all12:22
Riddellthat sounds like a good idea12:24
Riddelltsk12:24
tkennedyis anyone familiar with using pidgin DBus and how to get a buddies status?12:35
Riddellnope, pidgin isn't part of our domain, try #ubuntu12:35
tkennedyok thanks12:36
Sputso this Canonical guy who is at QtCS said something that sounded like "we're building all our future applications on Qt/QML"? did I misunderstand that?12:50
RiddellSput: that sounds about right12:53
Riddellexcept for unity where for some reason they've made their own toolkit12:54
Sputinteresting.12:54
RiddellSput: do you know who it was?13:01
SputRiddell: can't remember the name, was some french name13:27
Sputblack hair13:27
Ezimhttp://blue-systems.com/ finally it looks better now13:46
Riddellstylish13:47
RiddellScottK: a couple of telepathy packages in new if you have time13:48
shadeslayercool site :D13:50
ScottKOK.  There's a decent chance I'll have time today.14:00
* apachelogger hates being held up by upstreams14:04
apacheloggershadeslayer: where is my DATA?!?!?!?!?!@?!$%!^&@14:05
* apachelogger notes that quantal might be the series we finally get tomahawk into the archvies :P14:05
Riddellapachelogger: who's holding you up?14:06
apacheloggerliblastfm upstream not answering questions about porting to liblastfm114:06
apacheloggeron a related note ... amarok's port is done and working and awesome14:06
apacheloggerclementine's port is almost done also work and also awesome, but requires one more error handling to be ported14:07
davmor2Riddell: can you try something for me please try clicking on an install button for an app from apps.ubuntu.com/cat  apparently it doesn't work in FF or in rekonq but does in chrome, I'm not sure if it is something you can fix in the package or not14:14
davmor2Riddell: the correct behaviour is to open the package manager and install the app14:14
Riddelldavmor2: clicking on the "available on software centre" button for an apt: url?14:15
Riddelldavmor2: https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/clementine/ works in rekonq, successfully opens up qapt14:16
Riddellfirefox says "The address wasn't understood"14:16
davmor2Riddell: oh interesting Danny tried and the only app that understood it was Chrome for him14:17
Riddelldavmor2: it'll need something to handle the apt: URLs, I think qapt adds that for KDE apps14:17
Riddellno idea what would add it for firefox14:17
davmor2Riddell: yeah and chrome just calls xdg-open which works14:18
Riddelldavmor2: chromium doesn't even show the "available on software centre" button for me14:18
davmor2Riddell: I thought it might be a nice way for KDE folks to pass around recommended apps as well as Ubuntu folks,  as you can twitter/facebook/g+/email them from there :) plus it might see some KDE apps filter to the top of the searches too which might be nice :)14:22
davmor2Riddell: oh nice catch I can confirm here14:24
davmor2Riddell: is clementine build for Quantal yet I think that is what the issue is there https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/precise/clementine/ show up with the precise link and on quantal it say also available for your distro series14:27
shadeslayerapachelogger: check yer email14:28
apacheloggershadeslayer--14:33
apacheloggershadeslayer: that is exactly what I said in the meeting I do not need14:33
shadeslayerwhut14:37
shadeslayerapachelogger: precisely why I wanted logs14:38
shadeslayerbecause I didn't remember the context14:38
apacheloggerirclogs.ubuntu14:38
shadeslayersure, what date?14:38
Riddelldavmor2: clementine is available for quantal yes14:41
RiddellI just installed it via rekonq14:41
davmor2Riddell: cool I'll get on it 14:42
apacheloggershadeslayer: look it up?14:54
apacheloggerdo you think I remember when we had meetings?14:54

BarkingFishEvening all. I wonder if someone would be kind enough to do a check for me please?  I'm with a user in #kubuntu, he's trying to install the pouetchess package from our Universe pool, and it's not working. He's getting an error of "no installation candidate" and for me, it's saying it's unable to locate the package - but I know it's there :)22:43
BarkingFishhttp://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/p/pouetchess/22:43
BarkingFishhe has all the necessary sources installed, I just helped him add all the repositories he needs.  Anyone else get this or a similar issue?22:44
