[20:36] <deffrag> Hello! I've been noticing abnormal behavior in Ubuntu 12.04. My system's GUI and keyboard suddenly freezes but it doesn't freezes movement of mouse, audio playback and ssh access. I cannot click on anything, change to tty0-6, caps lock on/off gives no indication. I'm not able to understand this type of behavior. Can anyone help me identify the problems and fix them please?

[21:00] <JanC> or in theory also a compositor (compiz) issue, I suppose
[21:00] <deffrag> And the graphics card is disabled using bumblebee, as I'm using gfx with optimus

[21:02] <deffrag> I forgot how to fetch MemInfo and SwapInfo parameters form commandline, somewhere in /sys/proc if I;m right
