TandyUKhey guys, how do i configure hdmi audio output in a frontend?11:02
TandyUKthe system is using the on board soundcard as audio out atm, not the hdmi output11:04

tgm4883$129.9912:44
tgm4883Pretty good price I think12:44
franksterTandyUK it depends a little on your video hardware15:51
franksterI'm using some ATI board in my shuttle xs35gs v315:51
franksterso I installed the fglrx drivers (not sure if it was necessary or not) and  used aplay -l to see what sound devices I had.  two of them said HDMI so I tried both and one of them worked15:52
franksterso it was just a matter of putting that into mythbuntu and it worked15:52
franksterI wrote about it in a little more detail here http://francisfisher.me.uk/problem/2012/shuttle-xs35gs-v3-and-mythbuntu-12-04/15:53
Zinn[francisfisher.me.uk] Shuttle XS35GS V3 and Mythbuntu 12.04 | Technical Problems15:53
franksterif you have an ATI card maybe that will help you15:53
TandyUKits nvidia, but i got it16:24
TandyUKwas as simple as chaging the output in setup > audio :)16:24
TandyUKmuch easier now im on site rather than vnc'ing into the machine :P16:24
sascha_hi there18:09
sascha_need a little help... if i do18:09
sascha_mythfilldatabase --max-days 14 -- '--days 14'18:10
sascha_everything is well18:10
sascha_but when i put --max-days 14 -- '--days 14' as arguments in mythtv-setup for mythfilldatabase18:10
sascha_it doesnt seem to work18:10
sascha_i tried to find an answer in the www but i cannot really find anything on it18:11
sascha_do you have an idea what could be wrong?18:11
sascha_thanx in advance18:11
Shadow__Xsascha_: i am pretty sure the args in setup are for other options and you should not be putting args in there unless you need them18:12
Shadow__Xafaik you leave it blank and as long as the rest is setup it will pull the updated automatically18:12
sascha_well i'd love to have more than 5 days, which seems to be default without any arguments18:12
Shadow__Xwhat listing info are you using?18:13
sascha_so yes, without args it works but only 5 days18:13
sascha_epg_eu18:13
Shadow__Xalso when you specify 14 days does it actually fill in 14 days worth of info?18:13
sascha_whats it called...moment18:13
sascha_yes, when i trigger the command by hand it will get 14 days18:14
sascha_i could try to put these args in the line before?18:15
sascha_mybe write18:15
sascha_"/usr/bin/mythfilldatabase --max-days -- '--days 14'"18:15
sascha_and leave the line below bölank18:15
Shadow__Xbefore you go doing that i would check what the mythbackend log is saying18:17
sascha_ok wait i will give it a try...18:17
Shadow__Xit could be looking for /usr/bin/mythfilldatabase --max-days 14 --18:17
sascha_how can i trigger exactly what would be started from mythbackend?18:18
sascha_just do a /usr/bin/mythfilldatabase?18:18
sascha_Grabber prefers method: allatonce18:19
sascha_2012-07-10 20:18:59.099624 I  XMLTV config file is: /home/user/.mythtv/EPG.xmltv18:19
Shadow__Xsascha_: what i am saying is setup mythfilldatabase in myth-setup the way you think its right then run the backend18:20
Shadow__Xi know its not working properly but you can look in the backend logs to see what the error is18:21
sascha_but only when the mythfilldatabase command would be started by the backend right?18:22
sascha_btw: tv_grab_eu_epgdata18:23
tgm4883sascha_, when you exit mythtv-setup, it asks you if you want to run mythfilldatabase18:23
tgm4883I wonder if --dd-grab-all is specific to schedulesdirect, or if you could use that as well18:24
sascha_i think it is only for schedulesdirect18:25
tgm4883yea it is18:26
tgm4883just looked it up18:26
Shadow__Xi understand epg from that18:27
sascha_lol18:28
tgm4883wait18:28
sascha_sorry, thought someone speaks german18:28
sascha_maybe18:28
tgm48832012-07-10 that is today18:28
sascha_yup18:28
tgm4883that's all I understood ;)18:28
sascha_it actually says. it ran just now, and it had some trouble18:28
sascha_"mythfilldatabase actually ran, but couldnt get new data for one out of one sources18:29
sascha_this could be a hint to faulty grabber"18:29
sascha_this error message appears on the mythweb page18:30
sascha_backend status18:30
tgm4883sascha_, you might want to ask in #mythtv-users18:30
sascha_ok maybe i go there then18:30
tgm4883sascha_, I think you'll find more people there that are familiar with those types of grabbers18:31
sascha_allright i will try18:32
sascha_thanx a lot18:32
sascha_:-D18:32
sascha_they say the grabber is faulty18:48
sascha_it has a default 5 days18:48
sascha_and it should be changed by the developer18:49
tgm4883sascha_, interesting. Well there is the answer then I guess18:49
tgm4883not sure what the grabber is written in, but you might be able to make that change yourself18:49
sascha_it is perl, but i just cant find where to statically change the default from 5 days to 1419:20
sascha_tv_grab_eu_epgdata19:21
sascha_/usr/bin/tv_grab_eu_epgdata19:21
rhpot1991sascha_: config file maybe?19:29
rhpot1991my $url=$baseurl . '/index.php?action=sendPackage&iOEM=&pin=' . $pin . '&dayOffset=' . $dataoffset . '&dataType=xml';19:29
rhpot1991days are passed into downloadepg19:30
rhpot1991our @xmlfiles = downloadepg($opt->{days},$opt->{offset},$pin);19:30
rhpot1991looks like they come from a config somewhere19:31
