TheWonderingGuruHello everyone01:05
TheWonderingGuruDoes anyone know what is the best way to change the default file manager from thunar to dolphin?01:05
=== aaass is now known as aaas
juancAlguien que hable español por favor?04:53
Unit193!es05:18
ubottuEn la mayoría de los canales de Ubuntu, se habla sólo en inglés. Si busca ayuda en español entre al canal #ubuntu-es; escriba "/join #ubuntu-es" (sin comillas) y presione intro.05:18
sunzzjust resumed my system from standby - mouse stopped working...  what can i do about it?08:41
ailosunzz: Doesn't happen to me. But, you might want to make querys at XFCE channels, like xubuntu08:45
ailoqueries*08:45
ailosunzz: Never happened with any other OS?08:45
ailoOr desktop system08:45
ailoCould be somehow hardware related08:46
sunzzailo, hi :) i tried already, multiple times...  hard to get a useful answer08:46
sunzzno, its not hardware related, always worked fine in windoze08:46
sunzzplus, it does not happen after every resume, it somes works, sometimes fails08:47
ailosunzz: If you like, try the Ubuntu live CD, and make it go to standby, to see if it's the same with Unity08:47
ailoI see08:47
ailoActually, now that I think of it. I don't ever go to standby. Just the screen that goes to sleep08:47
ailosunzz: But it does seem more probably that it is further down the plumbing than desktop stuff08:48
ailoKernel related08:48
ailoHibernation has generally not worked well on a lot of machines08:49
ailoAnd that is kernel related08:49
sunzzailo, i know, im not even trying to use hibernation, but standby works fine, except for that one thing08:49
ailosunzz: Can't help you much. Do think it would make sense to ask either on a desktop or kernel related channel08:51
ailoMost probably kernel people should know something about that08:51
sunzzok, thank you ailo08:52
ailosunzz: Don't forget the power of forums :). Ubuntu Forums might be helpful08:54
sunzzailo, people on #grml suggested to look at dmesg output09:02
sunzzthat helped to see, that its only that one particular usb slot where i have my dongle, the other slots work fine09:02
ailosunzz: Ok, so changing slots saved the situation?09:03
sunzzailo, well at first glance yes, i can get my mouse back to life, but i only have 2 usb slots, so its not a longterm solution to replug it09:05
sunzzailo, next time it happens, i need to see if its rather the slot itself or rather the mouse09:05
