[01:05] Hello everyone [01:05] Does anyone know what is the best way to change the default file manager from thunar to dolphin? === aaass is now known as aaas [04:53] Alguien que hable español por favor? [05:18] !es [05:18] En la mayoría de los canales de Ubuntu, se habla sólo en inglés. Si busca ayuda en español entre al canal #ubuntu-es; escriba "/join #ubuntu-es" (sin comillas) y presione intro. [08:41] just resumed my system from standby - mouse stopped working... what can i do about it? [08:45] sunzz: Doesn't happen to me. But, you might want to make querys at XFCE channels, like xubuntu [08:45] queries* [08:45] sunzz: Never happened with any other OS? [08:45] Or desktop system [08:46] Could be somehow hardware related [08:46] ailo, hi :) i tried already, multiple times... hard to get a useful answer [08:46] no, its not hardware related, always worked fine in windoze [08:47] plus, it does not happen after every resume, it somes works, sometimes fails [08:47] sunzz: If you like, try the Ubuntu live CD, and make it go to standby, to see if it's the same with Unity [08:47] I see [08:47] Actually, now that I think of it. I don't ever go to standby. Just the screen that goes to sleep [08:48] sunzz: But it does seem more probably that it is further down the plumbing than desktop stuff [08:48] Kernel related [08:49] Hibernation has generally not worked well on a lot of machines [08:49] And that is kernel related [08:49] ailo, i know, im not even trying to use hibernation, but standby works fine, except for that one thing [08:51] sunzz: Can't help you much. Do think it would make sense to ask either on a desktop or kernel related channel [08:51] Most probably kernel people should know something about that [08:52] ok, thank you ailo [08:54] sunzz: Don't forget the power of forums :). Ubuntu Forums might be helpful [09:02] ailo, people on #grml suggested to look at dmesg output [09:02] that helped to see, that its only that one particular usb slot where i have my dongle, the other slots work fine [09:03] sunzz: Ok, so changing slots saved the situation? [09:05] ailo, well at first glance yes, i can get my mouse back to life, but i only have 2 usb slots, so its not a longterm solution to replug it [09:05] ailo, next time it happens, i need to see if its rather the slot itself or rather the mouse
