Additionally, lm-sensors can be useful to monitor temperatures and fan speeds - See also !benchmark === philipballew__ is now known as philballew === jibel_ is now known as jibel === nyuszika7h is now known as Guest63432 [11:22] Hey all [11:24] Aloha BluesKaj [11:26] hi mr [11:26] hi MrChrisDruif [11:26] damn tab key [11:29] I don't have a highlight for mr ;-) [11:29] How's it going BluesKaj ? Bluetooth speakers and keyboard [11:31] Creative D100 speakers and Targus Bluetooth Keyboard [11:34] MrChrisDruif, wife has apr of creative T40's ...great sound , a sub helps , but not much [11:36] I'm gonna use it for when I hang out with some friends and/or family. Those speakers will certainly be an upgrade from my phone ones ;-) [11:37] yeah , look like decent speakers for the money [11:38] the t40s are made by cambridge audio ..quite well known in the audio world [11:42] The D100 is getting good reviews allround [11:42] Especially for it's price [11:43] Added bonus, it uses 4 * AA batteries [12:02] with today's daily 64bit - has anyone happened across a firefox bug where it starts with what appears to be a turkish ubuntu start page ... [12:08] Ow, and I just ordered the Toshiba AT300! [15:50] Why do I have lightdm installed if I am using Kubuntu? [15:51] hmm, maybe I installed something else that depends on Lightdm? [15:51] but I can't imagine what that may have been [15:54] rdepends FTW! [15:56] hmm apparently there is a lightdm-kde-greeter but I still don't understand why I need lightdm when I use kdm [16:30] IdleOne: And I didn't think KDE liked lightdm [16:31] what's the state of QQ install images at the moment - I'm about to do a fresh install onto my funky new SSD - are the dailies working at the moment? === jbicha is now known as Guest50245 [16:37] I install 64bit Desktop last night with testdrive, no issues [16:37] installed* [16:37] IdleOne: Using the daily image or the alpha? [16:37] hmm, good question. I think testdrive pulls the daily [16:38] it uses rsync to get updates, so yeah. [16:38] ok, suppose I should do the mechanics of fitting the drive and back some important stuff up first :-) [16:39] probably a good idea [16:42] IdleOne: Was that the kubuntu desktop image ? [16:42] penguin42: no, Kubuntu is a real install. I decided to test Ubuntu in VM [16:43] haven't played much with it in a few months and wanted to see what was new, if anything, with Unity. [23:56] are there any issues know with the intel HD4000 + DRM? [23:56] for some reason DRM loads (as seen in dmesg) but my /sys/class/drm folder does not get populated [23:57] I am trying to find out what causes this, as this did work a few days ago [23:57] not sure if it has to do with updates though
