[02:53] tgm4883, was there a weekly blog post ? [03:01] bobweaver, yes [03:01] Could I get Link plz ? [03:01] http://www.doadjustyourset.com/ [03:01] it usually comes out on monday, but was early this week [03:04] thanks [03:04] I am s oflipin furstrated atm [03:04] over Unity 3d and NUX [03:05] I made a nice Unity/ubuntu tv and it will not complir [03:05] also this shit was mad on microcrap [03:05] made [03:05] Visual studio [03:05] I dont have that Nor can I afford that [03:06] like check this out also [03:06] -- package 'unity-protocol-private' not found [03:06] CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:279 (message): [03:06] A required package was not found [03:06] what they hell is that ? [03:07] A development team within Canonical continues to work on the Unity 3D transition <<< what team is that [03:07] I dont belive that [03:08] there is nothing on there about me [03:08] This is Fucked [03:08] it is like you all are trying to push me away [03:08] I am going to release this different if this shit keeps up [03:09] I am so sick and Tried of seeing all this Quickly Shit [03:09] Quickly Sucks and real devs do not use [03:10] Fuck this [03:10] I make a huge break thou do what all you ask to do and what happens ........ [03:10] NOTHING [03:11] This project is going to Die in the long run there is No fucken direction [03:11] 'FUCKEN SOCIAL CLICKS [03:43] ok I took a breath of freah air [03:43] fresh * [03:43] sorry arbout my rant be here is why [03:43] 1) Unity 2d is still in Ubuntu 12.10 I am using it right now. the libarys are all there and there is more and more cool stuff that can be done , [03:44] 2) Declarative Veiws are Declarative views you can write all that into Ubuntu tv [03:44] eith unity3d or 2d [03:44] 3) How in the world can one use NUX and Unity with out damaging there system ?meaning that Ubuntu runs on Unity and if one is to alter the Unity and Nux code they would be killing any unity that there is. Meaning yes on can go into Dash.cpp and .h change it all up to Look and act like Ubuntu TV [03:44] 4) Remotes: Way is this not being wrote into the framework its self ? [03:44] with things like meego and what not why in the world would a team do this ? [03:45] 5)Unity Devs are working on make a declarative view for form factor? Really Because I have hunted and hunted and can not seem to find anyone doing this. could you please drop some names. [03:45] 6) Moving away from .nfo and xbmc generated files. This is great news But. QT handles XML data better then you might think. [03:46] ) Lens: Ok here is one thing that I can not figure out for the life of me. Why not just use the lens that are already around? all that needs to happen is a change in dbus for the video lens. [03:46] 7)* [03:46] as a example [03:48] 8) I feel as thou there is a social click going on around these parts meaning that people are doing things because someone in this social click is saying that they hav to be done, [03:48] this is hurting the community [03:48] If anyone can explain any of these things to me I would really like that [03:49] mostly the QT part of this [03:49] is it something to do with Nokia not giving Ubuntu enough money ? [03:50] why are we not using the code that is out there all ready from something like QTMediaHub [03:50] It has everything that we are looking for [03:50] why use stuff that has to be deved up on microsoft ? [03:57] I don't quite understand the push for NUX myself. It seems that Qt5 is a much more powerful toolkit with good developer tools. [03:58] danielk22, +1 [03:58] and QT5 is in alpha also [03:58] danielk22, have you looked at the code that is out there for megoo and what not [03:58] like qtmediahub? [03:59] QT media hub http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZXV4J0d_nE [03:59] that was wrote for qtquick 2 and qt5 [04:00] there is meego and all the remote code [04:01] git://gitorious.org/qtmediahub/meegoremote.git [04:02] that has all the plugings also that xbmc has meaning tmdb tvdb ect [04:02] bobweaver: I just looked at the video. [04:03] Here is the orig remote that comes with it http://gitorious.org/qtmediahub/original-remote/trees/master [04:04] it also uses nokia and google maps and would be real real easy to implant face recognition [04:04] like could use that for perental control [04:05] I think an even more modern UI could be written in Qt5 with all the OpenGL tricks you might desire... But the real power is in having a good UI editor and a good scripting language built in. [04:05] like using OpenCV, on to Qt. [04:06] NUX is just a thin wrapper for OpenGL.. so fewer developers would be able to write a UI at that level; especially ones that also have a design sense. [04:06] OpenCV, the vision library? [04:07] yup [04:07] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoemzxBpXig&feature=related [04:07] like to use that alter it and make into parental control [04:08] and also like Hello there $USER todays weather is and you missed these calls and you stoped a torrent blah blah blah [04:08] when you walk into the room [04:08] hehe, I built a skin detector filter for mozilla once. It not only blocked out bikini clad pictures, but also all pictures of Dick Cheney. [04:09] rotflol [04:10] so things that can not happen also with NUX theme changing that would be so hard [04:11] seems like there is only one or 2 people that are making these dissions and that is not fair to the community [04:11] needs to be votes or something like that
