dan2003Hi, Im having some trouble trying to implement a service at shutdown. I need to dump mysql tables to .db files, so have tried top use start on stopping mysql. My service runs but mysql gets stopped before it has a chance to dump the tables, how can i prevent mysql from actually stopping untill my service has finished (without hacking the mysql scripts?)15:18
dan2003and also - if it was to take a while - is there some way to ensure the machine doesn't just switch off before its finished?15:19

jodhdan2003: I think you'll have to tweak /etc/init.d/sendsigs. search for mysql in that file.16:14
dan2003ok, thanks16:16
