[05:11] grr i'm sick of this resolution issue [05:13] oh [05:15] this issue is resolved [05:50] hi there! Any pointers how to edit the lubuntu netbook view? I'd like to add/remove tabs and/or programs shown.. Couldn't find it in the wiki.. [06:09] Hi [06:10] I installed a theme in Lubuntu and I am able to select it in the widget tab of Customize Look and Feel but It doesn't appear in the window border tab. [06:48] answering to myself: /etx/xdg/menus [12:54] Hey guys === g0sy is now known as Gosy [14:19] hi [14:22] hello [14:23] my panels disapper, can someone help me? [14:24] vit_o: run lxpanel from the terminal please and paste the output to a nopaste service [14:24] hopefully it is not segfaulting :P [14:25] leszek: there is no output. But the original panel is back [14:26] leszek: but, lxpanel is not the original panel for lubuntu. I think it was a bit different [14:27] lxpanel is the one which is used by lubuntu [14:27] maybe you need to load lxpanel -p lubuntu [14:27] because it can handle many profiles :) [14:28] les [14:29] leszek: it was different, but anyway. the problem is that is i close the terminal i also close the panel [14:29] leszek: is there any command in order to restart everything? [14:33] vit_o: just relogin [14:34] leszek: ah, wow! thanks a lot! [14:42] Hi all. Can you recommend an email client for Lubuntu featuring a unified inbox for multiple imap accounts? I tryed sylpheed/claws that came with Lubuntu. Thunderbird is too heavy for my netbook. I'd really appreciate some tips. [14:45] sylhpeed or claws-mail should handle this otherwise there is still balsa (which was/or still is the gnome one) [14:47] sylpheed/claws can't. I specifically asked in their channel. Gotta try balsa real quick. [14:48] oh well. I did not want to install the whole gnome thing. ;) Other suggestions? [14:49] hmm... there is no other which seems to have that feature then [14:49] except for thunderbird [14:51] okay, so I have to keep looking. Thank you! [14:53] btw are you leszek from the screencasts? ;) [14:53] n150p: there is a new mail client called geary by the elementary os guys, perhaps it supports unified inbox [14:54] or rather by the guys who brought you shotwell (I think they are called yorba) [14:55] That's a good tip to watch. The site says they don't support attachments as of yet, so I'll keep an eye on it until they do. [14:56] the other way would be to use filters in sylpheed to move or copy new mails into the local inbox. This should work with every imap account. But its only working locally then [15:00] Thanks for your help. I have to go now, bit I really appreciate your quick response! [15:27] Hey [15:28] I don't know who manages the website, but it rendered funny in my browser (chromium) [15:28] Here is a screenshot: http://i45.tinypic.com/6eg1fo.png [15:29] pinkpatrol: seems to be a bug. Here it renders funny too :P [15:31] I just wanted to let somebody know. === g0sy is now known as Gosy [17:03] Hiho guys [17:03] hi Gosy [17:14] how do i create a shortcut to a folder in lubuntu [17:21] Gosy: in a terminal ln -s /path/to/folder /path/to/folder-link [17:22] dragging and dropping in pcmanfm with pressed alt key should also work I guess, but I am not sure [17:23] nope seems not to be possible [17:23] but it was in an older version :P [17:26] so i do [17:27] to be honest [17:27] im abit confused now [17:28] whats the easiest way to make a shortcut of a folder that i place on my desktop [17:34] Gosy: the ln -s way should work fine [17:34] ln -s /home/leszek/Downloads /home/leszek/Desktop/Downloads works fine [18:15] didn't owrk === slow-motion_ is now known as slow-motion === len is now known as Guest50934 === slow-motion_ is now known as slow-motion [19:57] hi .... which is the path file config on lubuntu?? [19:57] is /et/enviorement or ~/.bashrc ?? === jalcine is now known as Jacky [20:04] http://askubuntu.com/questions/60218/how-to-add-a-directory-to-my-path [20:28] kanliot: thanks for your answer [22:19] hey, anyone here from light-software-center ? [22:20] Lubuntu Software Center? What's your question. [22:20] well the vala port [22:20] That's not ready yet. [22:20] i know :D [22:20] had an issue populating the database though [22:21] using ubuntu precise [22:21] it opens but all categories show 0 elements [22:23] MichaelRawson, StephenSmally, and gilir are the main people. Pretty sure that's not really supposed to work yet either. :P [22:23] IIRC, won't be in time for 12.10 either. [22:24] cool [22:25] was just wondering whether it was because lubuntu would use a different db to ubuntu [22:25] gilir is the one most on IRC, but is also the main Lubuntu dev. The other two you could try emailing the list, or reporting a bug (if they set that up yet even) [22:30] cool [22:30] thanks for the info [22:30] Sure, if you want to wait around for them, you could hangout in #lubuntu-offtopic as that is also the devel channel. [22:31] nice [22:31] thanks
