Last night I got a few e-mails about a failed PPA build. I don't quite understand what the issue is, as it's a daily build from a recipe, which uploads a new package upon every commit. I'm not sure whether it is a glitch or whether it is something I need to worry about. Here are the contents of the 2 first e-mails I got (of a total of 4): http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/1150176/ [06:59] Any ideas what the issue could be? [07:03] File qreator_12.05.6-0~119~precise1.tar.gz already exists in Qreator daily releases, but uploaded version has different contents. [07:03] The recipe tried to upload the same version === wgrant changed the topic of #launchpad to: Build delays due to hardware move | Help contact:-| Launchpad is an open source project: https://dev.launchpad.net/ | This channel is logged: http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/ | User Guide: https://help.launchpad.net/ | Support: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad === dpb_ is now known as Guest86753 === czajkowski changed the topic of #launchpad to: Build delays due to hardware move | Help contact: czajkowski| Launchpad is an open source project: https://dev.launchpad.net/ | This channel is logged: http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/ | User Guide: https://help.launchpad.net/ | Support: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad [08:52] the downtime is why cdimage builds are failing, and why half the distro builders have gone away too? [08:52] how i can find path of ppa installation path in python? [08:54] Laney: yes I think so, wgrant yes? [08:55] Laney: Yes. [08:55] A lot of things like that will be broken for a few hours over the next few days. [08:55] fair enough [08:55] * Laney questions "Official Ubuntu distribution builders will be largely unaffected by [08:55] this maintenance." ;-) [08:55] Laney: see our blog or launchpadstatus on idenit.ca/twitter also G+ and FB [08:56] Laney: Yeah, I'm not quite sure what happened there. [08:56] Laney: delays :) [08:56] czajkowski: I did see that, but all of the communication pretty explicitly mentions PPAs only [08:57] this is what we were told [08:57] and the others would be delayed hence the topic. [08:57] not criticising, just explaining why i'm confused [08:57] or was [09:00] nods [09:33] hello, I had to change my ssh keys in my machine and after I uploaded the public key I'm getting permission errors, any idea of what might be happening? [09:33] mandel: not sur etoday may have been a wise day to do this :) [09:33] wgrant: knock on effect ? [09:34] czajkowski, ouch.. [09:34] mandel: There's no problem on our end. [09:34] Sounds like you might have uploaded the wrong one, or your SSH client isn't looking in the right place [09:35] wgrant, weird.. I'll delete all the config that sshebang added and will see if that helps [09:35] mandel: run `ssh -vv yourlpusername@bazaar.launchpad.net` and see what the added output says [09:35] on it [09:38] mgz, wgrant, the following is the output of ssh verbose: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1150320/ [09:39] oo, that's fun, new one to me. [09:39] key is accepted but agent can't sign [09:40] try killing your ssh-agent and trying again? private key might be bad or have wrong perms or something [09:40] Sorry, ISP routing fail. [09:40] mgz, sure [09:41] wgrant: so knock on effect.. [09:41] Heh [09:42] wgrant: hah see I had to br right at least once :) [09:42] it's rare [09:42] mgz, killed it and tried again and same issue [09:43] is the log output any different? [09:43] you should have been prompted for your private key password [09:43] mgz, same issue [09:44] mgz, interestingly I just did the same with a windows vm and worked.. so I don't think it should be a problem in your end [09:46] can you paste the output of ls -l on ~/.ssh please? [09:47] mgz, sure, here you have it: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1150332/ [09:47] nothing too interesting i'm afraid [09:47] nice and simple [09:49] run `ssh-add -d`? [09:50] no luck [09:50] mgz, let me reboot the machine as a desperate move.. brb [09:51] I guess it's some other key agent that needs restarting? what's the gnome one called? [09:55] mgz, after restarting everything it worked.. I guess you were right some client was there with an old priv key in memory [09:55] that was annoying [09:55] mandel: at least tis sorted [09:55] right, I think it was just gnome-keyring or something that needing restarting [09:55] mandel: but next time not on days when lp is being a bit special! [09:56] czajkowski, yes, I should have not played with this things [09:56] mgz, really appreciate your help, I can get back to work now :) [09:56] :) [11:26] mgz: can you help me on https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/205972 please === yofel_ is now known as yofel === lamont` is now known as lamont [12:12] czajkowski: really stuff like that should just be punted to ubuntu or something [12:13] it's a packaging problem, better answered by people who do that (which it has been) [12:13] mgz: we do retarget some stuff over but less specific stuff is us [12:15] We don't help with build problems like that, it's clearly not our problem. [15:07] hi, is it possible to copy packages from one ppa to another? (and if yes, how?)
