[03:58] i added the kubuntu backports to lm 12 and reloaded synaptic and the packages are not showing [03:59] the backports don't show in the output when i do a sudo apt-get update either [04:00] Perhaps you erred when you added the repo? [04:00] i followed the instructions for adding it [04:15] i'm looking in the backports directory for oneiric now. the Packages file is empty. what gives? [04:17] ..only one that seems to have anything in it is precise. what gives? will kde 4.9 only work on precise? === Obsidian1723-4 is now known as Obsidian1723 [05:22] anyone know a good iptables blacklist setup? Is ther a way to get "KDE IM Contacts" to minimize to the tray? [13:10] What is a good virtual drive creator for Linux? I have a .cue/.bin image I want to mount, and its not converting to .iso with bchunk, so I was wanting to mount it directly. Or would it be best to get something such as daemon tools, and mount it with that through wine? [13:14] Linkmaster, use mkisofs to convert it [13:14] !mkisofs [13:15] ah, this is a new program to me [13:15] !info mkisofs [13:15] Package mkisofs does not exist in precise [13:15] Er :/ [13:15] odd [13:15] let me see with 'apt-cache' [13:17] BluesKaj: Note, selecting 'genisoimage' instead of 'mkisofs' [13:19] yup [13:19] Thank you, lets see if it works [13:21] I use IRC for first time.If one ifs in this channel, then i could talk with him,is that right ? [13:22] framtic, yes ..do you have a kubuntu question ? [13:24] Linkmaster, http://linux.die.net/man/1/genisoimage [13:25] Ah,yes,I don't know where to find input method settings, kde is a bit different from gnome.. [13:28] framtic, kmenu>computer>system settings [13:31] BluesKaj, its still mounting with the file.bin directly visible [13:31] Linkmaster, did you convert the image to iso ? [13:32] thats what I'm trying to do [13:32] k3b may be able to do it [13:32] And when I do, I mount the .iso file through terminal, and it loads up the original .bin/.cue file [13:32] And yes, k3b does that, but it gives the same results [13:33] don't mount the image , you can't convert it if it's mounbted [13:34] I don't have the .bin/.cue mounted [13:39] Linkmaster, have you tried ccd2iso [13:40] I haven't heard of it, I just stumbled across something called CDEmu, but let me try the ccd2iso === spawn[dead] is now known as spawn57 === pjoe_dj is now known as pjoe_afk === Quintasan_ is now known as Quintasan === manfred is now known as Guest64053 === nemesis is now known as Guest77085 === sysadmin is now known as Guest72847 [17:48] TESTING [17:48] yes linux12_ ..it worked === pjoe_afk is now known as pjoe === pjoe is now known as pjoe_accounting === spawn57 is now known as spawn[dead] [18:47] !phonon === pjoe_accounting is now known as pjoe [18:49] !info phonon [18:49] phonon (source: phonon): multimedia framework from KDE - metapackage.
