[17:12] <godbyk> But the glossaries package uses a different translation system for managing the translations of the Glossary keywords (and a few others).
[17:13] <godbyk> It's not a standard babel keyword because there's no built-in convention for generating glossaries in LaTeX.
[17:13] <godbyk> Also, since we're using XeLaTeX, we use polyglossia instead of babel.
[17:13] <godbyk> Same thing, in effect, but polyglossia groks Unicode and OpenType.
