bitfury_how can I change the default mta in ubuntu?02:10
bitfury_it's currently using 'mail' and I would like to change it to 'ssmpt'02:10

qman__mta is like, postfix, exim02:11
qman__sendmail02:11
qman__and to select which one you want to use, you install it, and remove any others02:11
qman__and ensure /usr/bin/sendmail links to it02:12
patdk-lapssmtp is a mta (nullmailer)02:12
sarnoldbitfury_: did you mean msmtp instead? install msmtp-mta as well02:12
patdk-lapbut it and mail aren't in common at all02:12
sarnoldpatdk-lap: incidentally, mailx (which can supply /usr/bin/mail) actually _can_ do smtp directly: http://heirloom.sourceforge.net/mailx.html02:13
