[18:50] who knows lol [18:50] maybe david [18:50] but here is what is going on [18:51] go to the lens and under search enter in name that you know is in myth lib. brings back nothing. Go to the filter and mythmovies and mythshows are still there [18:51] but When selecting them nothing shows up in the dash [18:52] probably worth testing if we're getting valid data [18:52] was working great untill 2 days ago. It could be that I am using the stagging ppa and not stock [18:52] bobweaver, which is easy to test with the way I built this [18:53] restart the scope and then look for what the 456 is going on ? [18:53] nope [18:53] run mythtvapi.py [18:53] it does a search for "house" [18:53] so we might want to change house to something you know you have [18:54] brought back everything that is in the lib [18:54] ok [18:54] well not everything but a lot [18:54] so then it is returning data properly, and something did change and break it :/ [18:55] this is what I get when running ./usr/lib/unity-scope-mythtv/mythtvapi.py http://paste.ubuntu.com/1215386/ [18:56] bobweaver, yep, that is what I would expect to see [18:56] that is what I figured it is the lens [18:56] more of that "unification " [18:58] Get this also. Unity will not get back things anymore that are privoxyed [18:58] or at least for me that is the case [18:59] Like my the tvdb api that I wrote no longer works [18:59] well brings back text but the privoxy says no images [18:59] http://imagebin.org/228987 [19:00] IDK [19:00] IDK, that looks like privoxy is blocking something [19:00] that is what I am saying [19:00] not that I have any experience with privoxy [19:01] not good at all [19:01] that is why my hulu lens is not working either [19:01] dosent allow for anonumous connection's [19:01] so I guess I will scrape [19:02] or wait till UDS and figure out what the heck is going on here [19:02] I like option 2 [19:02] :) [19:09] Ok I think that I may have found the troubles. It is the lens 100% not only is it your scope that it can not read it is also the remote video scope. It is totem thumnailer that is messing some stuff up that I can see [19:10] http://paste.ubuntu.com/1215408/ [19:13] also net.whatever has been depreciated http://paste.ubuntu.com/1215413/ << as you can see [19:14] I am going to try and change the dbus path too org.launchpad.scope.mythtv [19:15] and not net.launchpad.scope.mythtv [19:18] Ok changed brb re-starting unity [19:24] well that is also strange changed it to *org* and am still getting back the same error [19:24] also all other 3rd party lens are not working [19:24] meaning no cooking no hulu no well anything that is 3rd party [19:25] talk about "unification " [19:27] bobweaver, I'm sure it is something we can fix. It wouldn't make sense to lock out 3rd party lenses/scopes [19:27] No it would not you are correct [19:28] I am going to try to purge and reinstall or build from scratch (which the code changes ever 4 hours so there is no why to program anything new ) [19:28] because in 4 hours your work is garbage [19:28] just like most things there is like 12 people that hold all the cards [19:31] bobweaver, admittedly, you're running the staging PPA, which by definition is there in case things break [19:31] it's possible breaking it was an accident and will be fixed [19:42] correct [19:44] It is just frustrating that is all. a good example would be I took like 20 hours and dedicated them to making sure that the Unity framework would match the old Ubuntu TV and the next day I go to push and the flippen Unity code is different so My code will not work [19:44] like adding simplelauncher renderhorizanalcoverflow ect [19:45] and the next day there was no room for it as the code had changed so much that mine would not even work [19:45] unification in its primal state I guess [19:46] sorry [19:46] /rant [19:47] but so it is needless to say that I wasted 20 hours of straight up programming in C++
