jbichawhat about mawk? it's a dependency of ubuntu-minimal00:00
darkxstno mawk was not installed00:00
jbichayou don't have ubuntu-minimal?00:00
darkxstI must have, otherwise system would be completely broken00:04
darkxsthmm just tried again, and it got it this time00:10
smartboyhwhi jbicha13:28
jbichasmartboyhw: howdy13:37
smartboyhwjbicha: Beta coming in 4 days for UGR?13:37
jbichaum yeah, something like that13:45
smartboyhw:)13:45
darkxstjbicha, I see you found Bug 1007123 (I just marked all those dupes)22:06
ubot5Launchpad bug 1007123 in gdm (Ubuntu) "package gdm 3.0.4-0ubuntu15 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 128" [High,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/100712322:06
darkxstwhat is the correct thing to do here? it seems that prerm does not stop gdm (since it would kill the current Xsession, I believe)22:06
darkxstthen postrm fails since it can't remove the user22:07
darkxst^gdm user22:07
darkxstcan you defer postrm somehow?22:07
jbichayeah, I'm subscribed to gdm bugs so I get friendly emails when bugs are touched :)22:09
jbichaactually uninstalling gdm does kill gdm which I think is rather rude as it can cause you to lose data if you weren't expecting it22:10
jbichaI think Debian manages to have gdm uninstall without errors, otherwise it would be an RC bug there so it's probably worth comparing the Debian packaging with Ubuntu's22:11
darkxstwell the prerm and postrm files are more or less identical23:10
