freyja_can this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1055766 bug just be deleted? It is a waste of everyone's time and immature. It's posted on /r/linux and will contribute to FUD. It's a waste of time and burden on the community.06:54

julian_fernHello :)16:40
julian_fernCould someone help me with a bug report, please?16:40
hggdhjulian_fern: the easiest way is to ask your question -- you do not need to ask to ask, so to speak. If someone knows about it, you will get a response16:40
hggdhand hello :-)16:41
julian_fernOh, ok (:16:41
julian_fernWell. I reported the bug #1056207, and the automated bot asked me to find the package the bug is about. But since i have no idea what triggers the bug, i can't really find the package...16:42
ubot2Launchpad bug 1056207 in ubuntu "Lots of softwares don't open after last update" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/105620716:42
julian_fernSo i'm wondering if someone could help me track what package caused the bug, so i can update the bug report.16:42
hggdhjulian_fern: ah, yes. Let me get the original bug on this16:42
julian_fernOk :)16:43
maprerihggdh: seems to be a  gtk issue, isn't it?16:44
hggdhmapreri: it was, and affected overlay-scrollbar16:45
julian_fernSo what package should i put on the report? GTK?16:46
maprerihggdh: you right...16:47
hggdhjulian_fern: it has already been fixed, I am trying to find out the bug16:47
julian_fernI'm still getting it tbh ._.16:48
julian_fernGonna do a dist-upgrade here then.16:49
hggdhbug 105561516:50
ubot2Launchpad bug 1055615 in overlay-scrollbar "crashreporter crashed with SIGSEGV in get_fast_child_requisition()" [Critical,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/105561516:50
hggdhI am not sure it has been put available already16:50
julian_fernIt just came to proposed repositories it seems. Thanks hggdh :)16:51
julian_fernGonna update my bug report then.16:51
maprerijulian_fern: close it if the update resolve the issue16:52
julian_fernJust did :)16:52
hggdhjulian_fern: please mark it as a dup of 105561516:52
hggdh(when you confirm it is resolved)16:52
julian_fernI put "fix released"... how can i mark it as dup?16:53
hggdhto the right, there will be a "Mark as duplicate" link16:54
julian_fernFound. Thanks a lot guys :)16:54
hggdhyou are welcome, julian_fern16:56

Juanopsyanyone? that can help me with some ubuntu random crashes?19:39
JuanopsyPlz !!...19:40
hggdhJuanopsy: please try one of the -es channels (like #ubuntu-es)19:45
JuanoPsyplease some help, My ubuntu 12.04 LTS is crashing randomly every 10 minutes or so, mostly whith firefox only,  or with heavy load like, facebook, banshee, inkscape, something else at the same time, but also if I run only "some" movies it crashes... the crash is always the same, full freeze, mouse, keyboard, screen, and the last bit of sound repeating in a infinite loop... my system specs are:20:29
JuanoPsySystem specs are: IntelĀ® Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz (says x2 but is only one), 32-bit, 937,2 MiB Ram, Graphics Gallium 0.4 on ATI RV37020:29
LordOfTimeJuanoPsy, support is probably best found in #ubuntu for that20:30
JuanoPsyYeah thx20:34

TheLordOfTimehttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin/+bug/1056419  <-- anyone want to explain why the retracer should care?22:09
ubot2Launchpad bug 1056419 in pidgin "pidgin crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()" [Undecided,Invalid]22:09
hggdhTheLordOfTime: because it could not get a good retrace from the crash22:16
TheLordOfTimehggdh, two issues I see:22:16
TheLordOfTime(1) its complaining about the package version22:16
TheLordOfTime(2) the version it wants tested with is in *proposed*22:17
hggdhTheLordOfTime: heh. A super quick look failed ;-)22:17
hggdhgimme 10, BRB22:18
TheLordOfTimehggdh, its complaining about a gtk+2.0 component, which is required, at -0ubuntu1, -0ubuntu2's only in proposed, so where'd i fail?22:18
TheLordOfTime-devel picked up my question, so... :p22:25
phii-tardhey guys22:39
phii-tardhaving all sorts of fun apport bugs popping up here22:40
phii-tardthe most frustrating of which is the wicd-daemon bug (allegedly a duplicate of #628432 , but launchpad doesn't seem to believe in bug #628432 , there are many duplicate reports, all linking to this one that i can't see.22:42
