bkerensajbicha: and Unity Shopping Lens bug deleted 105477600:22
jbichabkerensa: what happened?00:25
bkerensajbicha: someone at Canonical deleted the shopping lens bug that has over 200+ affected00:26
bkerensaidk00:26
bkerensainstead of marking it wont fix or opinion00:26
bkerensaTransparency for the win :)00:26
jbichait was marked private, I asked in #launchpad and it's getting changed back to Public00:28
bkerensajbicha: lol oh ok :)00:31
bkerensajbicha: why was it hidden though? :P00:31
jbichathat's how private bugs work00:31
jbichaI didn't see it either as I don't have upload rights to that package or something00:31
bkerensajbicha: I thought the only reason a bug should be marked private is if it contains private information that is sensitive to a user00:33
tsimpsonor any security issue00:34
bkerensa;)00:34
jbichanah, anyone can mark bugs private, it's probably a pretty bad flaw00:35
j1mcas the issue involved sending data in the clear to canonical, they might be discussing some internal technical matters on the bug that require it to be private for security reasons for now. i would hope that they'll re-open it somehow, or bring up how they're going to resolve it in some other way.00:37
bkerensajbicha: that bug I mentioned that is private was not about any security issues it was more of a rant bug someone started about the ads00:38
knomehey j1mc :)00:38
knomeyeah, we can always hope so...00:38
bkerensathere are however a few security bugs open none of which went private00:38
jbichabkerensa: it's back now00:38
jbichajust some random user00:39
knomeany missing comments? ;)00:39
jbichano, it's just that you can't see private reports unless you have access to them00:39
bkerensajbicha: lol so anyone can abuse this?00:40
j1mchi knome  :)00:40
knomeanyone able to abuse sounds great too..00:40
jbichabkerensa: yes :(00:41
jbichabecause anyone can post private info they want hidden00:41
* bkerensa sets #1 to private00:41

j1mccool - glad it validates. i did check it on IE8 and on my phone. works on those things, so it can't be too broken.01:14

jbichadpm: I don't know if I'll finalize ubuntu-docs screenshots today14:13
jbichathere's one more UI change, the Gwibber lens is using Twitter's icon so Design is going to replace it14:17
jbichaand I have to redesign some of the screenshots for the new launcher items that landed yesterday14:18
jbichabut strings will definitely freeze on schedule today14:18
dpmjbicha, I think that should be absolutely fine, strings are the most important part.14:21
jbichamdke: are you around? I updated the pot yesterday in lp:ubuntu-docs but the translation status looks the same14:38
jbichadpm: I don't think we changed the strings as much for quantal as we did for precise, the top 18 languages don't look too bad14:39
jbichaon https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-docs/quantal/ even though most haven't been touched this cycle yet14:39
dpmyeah, I was looking at that too14:40
dpmjbicha, do you think we could update help.ubuntu.com with the translations regularly until release, similar to what we did on precise?14:41
jbichayeah, all it needs is someone to build the docs and upload them to https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-doc/ubuntu-docs/help.ubuntu.com14:42
jbichadpm: did you want to join ubuntu-core-doc?14:42
jbichahelp.ubuntu.com gets updated from that branch once per day14:43
dpmjbicha, I'd do if it helps, but I'd feel I haven't participated enough in documentation to join the core committers team. I need to have a look again at how translations get built, let me come back to you in a few hours or tomorrow14:44
jbichamdke: dpm: oh I guess the translation status doesn't change the date updated but I clearly see the new strings in the translation queue so I guess we're ok15:46
jbichawe have new pages for each lens, so I just searched for Gwibber15:47
dpmjbicha, which date are you referring to about?15:48
jbicha"Last Changed" on https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-docs/quantal/15:49
jbichaI guess it makes sense, we didn't touch the translations themselves, just the pot15:50
dpmjbicha, yes, that's correct, that's the date the last translation was touched by a translator. For the date the template was updated, you can have a look at the template's Header or Last update fields on https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-docs/quantal/+pots/ubuntu-help/+admin15:52
jbichaoh, I can't access that page16:00
