mandelgatox, morning!11:17
mandelgatox, how is everything going?11:17
gatoxmandel, i would like to say fine..... but i have to figure it out what is going on with this test first :P11:21
gatoxmandel, you?11:21
mandelgatox, ok, I'm nearly done with the ui, some pixels are in the wrong place and I'm going to start proposing things to the unity trunk11:21
mandelgatox, step by step11:21
gatoxmandel, gooo!11:22
gatoxmandel, if you have some time please: https://code.launchpad.net/~diegosarmentero/ubuntuone-client/ubuntuone-client-menuorder/+merge/12576811:36

alecuhello gatox, mandel!12:08
gatoxalecu, hi sir!12:08
mandelalecu, hola!12:08
mandelalecu, things in the payment preview are looking really really good :)12:08
alecumandel: were you able to exercise my branch? how did it work?12:08
alecumandel: I'll be updating the whole of unity today, from trunk.12:09
mandelalecu, works a lot better, yet I had some crashes but I don't know if it our fault or something else..12:11
mandelalecu, I'm going to look at it closer after lunch12:11
mandelalecu, careful with trunk12:11
alecumandel: great. Which branch of unity/nux should I be using?12:11
mandelalecu, I'm using the latests, but I had some problems with compiz12:12
mandelalecu, if you are in a vm the simples way is to use unity/staging ppa and hope for the best12:12
mandelthat thing has all the up to date deps12:12
ralsinagood morning!12:18
gatoxralsina, hi12:19

mandelalecu, people protesting on the streets, me ok in my little apartment12:22
mandelalecu, but I don't want to say much because I want to get gatox to visit hehe12:23
alecumandel: my parents arrived yesterday (to barcelona) on a one month trip around spain, but after seeing the news, I don't think it was very wise of them... :-)12:23
gatoxalecu, mandel http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/001/384/Atrapitis.gif12:23
alecumandel: they are getting to madrid in 20 days... I guess the riots would be over by then :-)12:24
mandelalecu, hey, do you want to give them my number in case they have any problems? I have a couple of friends in barcelona etc12:24
mandelalecu, or madrid will be over ;)12:24
mandelgatox, lol12:24

mandelI'm off to have lunch12:38
mandelnow that is not raining and I can walk home..12:38
mandelbloody crazy weather12:38
gatoxjaja this code is trolling me....... if i execute the test with pdb....... and don't ask to see the content of the var which is causing problems it fails..... if i do a print repr() of that var..... everything works12:41
gatoxthis is personal now!12:41
ralsinagatox: oh, a schrödinger bug! Likely a cat112:42
gatoxralsina, so i'm the right person for this! jeje :P12:42
ralsinagatox: do you have threads involved?12:42
gatoxralsina, nop12:42
ralsinagatox: ok, any access to external resources?12:43
gatoxralsina, i'll go step by step until i find the damn code12:43

alecufridays don't need an extra uplift, do they? In any case: http://vimeo.com/2898262713:11

gatoxalecu, ok.... then this one: http://youtu.be/keKdyN16qUs13:17

=== m_conley_away is now known as m_conley
gatoxdobey, sorry..... i mean a branch for devtools13:56
dobeygatox: i can make a branch for that real quick. i know what it is already14:00
gatoxdobey, i'm proposing that already14:00
dobeyis there a bug filed for it?14:00
gatoxdobey, nop14:01
gatoxdobey, can you review this totally lame branch? https://code.launchpad.net/~diegosarmentero/ubuntuone-dev-tools/temp-bytes/+merge/12697314:01
gatoxdobey, when that lands......... i can propose my two remaining u1-cp branches14:03
dobeyit's amazing what simply unmounting the filesystem will do for RAID performance14:11
gatoxdobey, should i add the test in any place in particular?14:12
dobeygatox: a new file as ubuntuone/devtools/runners/tests/test_base.py I guess14:13
mmcchappy friday, everyone14:28

mmccralsina: of those 5 critical bugs, two are fixed already, one is not really blocking , one is the quit event problem, which I'm looking at now, and the last is the gc crash from macfsevents.py15:33
ralsinammcc: good, so let's fix 5 high bugs then ;-)15:34
mmcchowever, I'd add a new one, that the daemon doesn't handle dropped events. that's what I'm going to look at next15:34
mmccralsina: having helpers for reviews will be good to push some of these fixes through.15:35
mmccbtw (gatox/dobey), I could use a review for https://code.launchpad.net/~mikemc/ubuntuone-windows-installer/byo-libjpeg/+merge/126538 -- lisette confirmed today that this fixed her issue with the captcha not loading in SSO15:36

gatox_luncheveryone, ralsina lost his connection..... he is going to have lunch now and will be back later16:01
ejoHi... I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.  deja-dup (backup) is set to backup one relatively small folder (50MB) to Ubuntu One.  I have lots of space on the server so it's not out of room.  It has been working fine for a long time but since three days ago it fails all the time with error 500.  Any ideas?16:43
ejoit always gets through the "scanning..." stage and the details view shows lots of files scanned, but right after that I get the error... "backup failed -- got status code 500".  I am guessing that's just the http result for nonspecific server error.16:47
=== gatox_lunch is now known as gatox
mmcchey, I don't know anything about deja-dup, can anyone else help ejo?17:10
ejothank you, mmcc!  the #ubuntu channel is completely uninterested17:11

gatoxdobey, before pushing again.....17:25
gatoxdobey, i like more to have the test like this: self.assertIsInstance(base_runner.tempdir, bytes)17:25
gatoxinstead of using decode and expecting not to fail17:25
gatoxdo you agree?17:25
dobeygatox: perhaps17:26
gatoxthat work with python2 and 317:26
gatoxdobey, branch updated https://code.launchpad.net/~diegosarmentero/ubuntuone-dev-tools/temp-bytes/+merge/12697317:30
dobeygatox: why not just use self.tempdir though, instead of building a new options set and runner?17:33
gatoxdobey, because that object doesn't have self.temdir17:34
dobeygatox: eh? BaseTestCase has it17:34
ralsinammcc: good work on remote-folders-fix17:34
ralsinammcc: HOWEVER maybe tests about calling/not calling connect_files in the right place could be added?17:35
