[00:01] i forget....also the pre-requisites..for building mythtv ive also loaded them [14:00] I'm having issues with ttvdb.py where it hangs and won't end/complete. The only way to stop the process is using kill -9. I'm using version included in mythtv-common 2:0.25.2+fixes.20121002.139bd59-0ubuntu0mythbuntu4 [14:01] There is no entries in the logs for mythtv or the server indicating what that there is a problem with ttvdb.py. I've restarted the mythtv-backend and rebooted the server without any success [19:06] Hi all. I need kernel 3.2 for the latest support of my tuner (anysee DVB-T2). Does anyone know when kernel 3.2 will be available in mythbuntu? [19:06] grunthur_, it already is? [19:07] Hm! [19:07] Linux tmashos-wks 3.2.0-31-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 7 16:16:45 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux [19:07] Sorry! I mean 3.3! [19:08] grunthur_, ah [19:08] grunthur_, IDK about 3.3. We get our kernel from the underlying Ubuntu base, so whenever they backport the 3.3 kernel we'll get it at the same time [19:08] you might try asking in #ubuntu [19:09] (I'm assuming you're on 12.04 [19:09] Yeah, but isn't there a desicion to stay with the LTS releases only? [19:09] grunthur_, kernels get backeported to LTS releases [19:09] Aha, okay! That's comforting. I did not know that. [19:09] yea, one of the reasons we decided that LTS was OK [19:10] also, we're just not releasing ISO's for non-LTS releases [19:10] you can still get to a Mythbuntu install on non-LTS releases if you really really need to [19:10] Aha, okay, so apt-get updating will still do the trick? [19:10] yep [19:10] Neat! [19:11] Thanks a lot! [19:11] yw === peterpops_ is now known as peterpops
