hallynpmatulis: assuming eth0 is bridged to br0, you just say 'lxc.network.link = br0' instead of 'lxc.network.link = lxcbr0' in the container config.02:25
hallynto make it happen on new containers, change it in /etc/lxc/lxc.conf02:26

axisysinstalled the ubuntu server 12.04.1 64bit twice. and but failed to boot into OS..03:27
axisysno active partition found03:27
axisyshttp://paste.ubuntu.com/1288401/ <-- details of the layout and error03:27
axisyswhat gives?03:27
ScottKIs /boot on raid supported?03:30
* ScottK isn't sure.03:30
axisysScottK: yes03:30
ScottKThe most likely suspect is grub installed on the wrong drive to start the boot process.03:31
ScottKCan you control the boot device order in bios?03:31
axisysduring install it presented 8 disks.. i picked sda and sdb03:32
axisysi guess bios sees different disk as the first one03:32
ScottKThat can happen.03:32
axisysbios only sees the controller..03:34
axisysis there a way to install grub from grub> ? the system is in different state .. and there is no net boot server on same subnet..03:35
axisyscdrom is already ejected after install.. wish it would give me the choice03:35
ScottKI think there is, but I don't know it.03:35
axisysScottK: cdrom is the first in boot priority03:36
ScottKWhat's next?03:36
axisysRAID: ASR-5805 PCI-03:37
axisysi need to go to the raid menu .. but i doubt i can change the priority there03:37
ScottKDunno what to tell you.03:38
axisysi need to find a way to install grub on all the disks03:38
axisysfrom grub> prompt03:39
axisysbut i cant get to grub.. doh!03:40
axisysi will have the site take out all the other disks and then boot.. lol03:40
axisysand then put them back in and then it will be easy to put grub then03:40
axisysunless i can find a way to configure the stupid controller03:41
* ScottK thought the server installer gave you an option to install grub ~everywhere.03:43
=== n0ts is now known as n0ts_off

RoyKludolan: it's just files08:21
RoyKludolan: iirc under /etc/ssl08:22
ludolanRoyK, yes, it's a signed certifcate by a valid CA.08:22
ludolanRoyK, i thought that it will not be very "secure" if a simple copy of file allow me to use my certificate on an other server. isn't it ?08:23
ludolanhow my certificate is "attached" to my server ?08:23

smbhallyn, Lets see in which mood I am until then, then. Just generally, with bridging in newer kernel code there was a change that at least one port needed to be up to make the bridge go up. That has caused already other problems in some cases. Maybe moving from being external to in-kernel vswitch has picked up some different behaviour13:16

imgx64Clicking "Ubuntu Server" and "Cloud infrastructure" on the download page both give me a download called "ubuntu-12.10-server-amd64.iso", is there any difference between the two isos?14:33
TheLordOfTimeimgx64, i think one's built for the cloud, i assume you're installing on-prem (on an actual box)14:38
TheLordOfTimeimgx64, if you're not installing on, say, an Amazon AWS instance, go for just 'server'14:40
TheLordOfTimeotherwise, go for 'cloud'14:40
TheLordOfTimethat's what i'd say, at least.14:40
imgx64Yes, I know, I'm just wondering if the two iso files are different.14:42
TheLordOfTimethey probably are14:42
TheLordOfTimeif i remember how the ISOs are generated, they probably contain slightly different ISOs14:43
TheLordOfTimes/ISOs/packages for installation/14:43
imgx64There is only one called "ubuntu-12.10-server-amd64.iso" in here: http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.10/14:43
imgx64I'll download the cloud one and see if it has the same checksum.14:44
imgx64Also, is 32-bit deprecated for servers starting from 12.10?14:46
patdk-wkheh? I just downloaded 32bit server iso yesterday14:49
imgx64patdk-wk, it's not here (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server ), I had to go to (http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.10/ ) to download it.14:50
patdk-wkhmm, itsn't that explained at the top of the page14:51
patdk-wkif your looking for SPECIFIC versions, click here14:51
imgx64But there is choice of 64-bit/32-bit for 12.04 on that same page.14:52
