AscavasaionWhen I try to open Magnet links in chromium I get a message similar to this "Chromium needs to launch an external application to handle magnet:links......"  with the button option to launch the application.  If I launch that another window pops up and says "No program specified for magnet".  Any help please?06:24
wxlAscavasaion: if i remember correctly you can set that preference in transmission06:24
Ascavasaionwxl, oh.  Let me check.  Thought it was a browser issue.  Be right back.06:25
Ascavasaionwxl: I see no setting like that.06:27
wxlone s06:27
wxlAscavasaion: in general: accept magnet links: set default application (though i'll admit i'm not in front of the lubuntu box so it may be slightly different)06:29
AscavasaionOkay, feeling dumb now... General?06:31
wxlin preferences-- one of the tabs06:31
AscavasaionI checked all the dropdown menus... nothing.  In Preferences the tabs are "Torrent, Downloading, Speed, Privacy, Network, Desktop, and Web"06:32
wxlweird06:33
wxli'm gonna open my virtualbox hold on06:33
AscavasaionI found a work around...06:34
wxloh good06:34
AscavasaionI rightclick the magnet link in the browser and Copy Link Location, I then go into transmission and Ctrl+U and it opens up.06:34
wxlstinky workaround :)06:34
AscavasaionYes, very stinky.06:35
AscavasaionAnd Transmission crashed HAHA!06:35
AscavasaionAaaah, life is awesome this morning.06:35
Ascavasaionhehehe06:35
AscavasaionOkay, reopened Transmission and torrent seems to working hehe06:35
AscavasaionThanks for the help though buddy.06:36
wxlwell should have the virtualbox open sometime soon06:37
wxlhad to update06:37
wxlyeah strange doesn't seem to be there06:40
Ascavasaionwxl: No problem.  So long as I can get it to work some way I am happy.  Have a great day and thank you once again.  Bye.07:06
searchingOpenbox menu.xml how to insert color and background color ?13:54
OsmodivsI conected my PC via VGA to a LED 1920x1080p resolution, but now all menus fonts are tiny, is there a way to change this? I already tweaked the OpenBox manager and the "customized look and feel" but that only changes window fonts17:30
bioterrorusing VGA with a FullHD Led tv is like giving a ferrari to my wife17:33
bioterrorbut fix DPI from the xorg.conf17:34

Analogymoushi, i'm wondering, is there anyone who's been having installation issues with Lubuntu 12.10? When I submit my location and come to the installation screen with introductionary guide my screen turns black20:26
holsteinAnalogymous: in all the *buntus, i dont have them download updates or anything.. i just install20:31
holsteinnot that that is the issue...20:31

Analogymousso downloading updates while installing is not recommendable?20:53
AnalogymousI have tried installing without update installation20:58
Analogymousthe installation freezes at the same place every time. I have tried the live cd and it works flawlessly so I don't see why the installation freezes...20:59
holsteinAnalogymous: i am personally not recommending it21:08
holsteinAnalogymous: i tried it, and it didnt work.. that was years ago, when it was first implemented21:09
holsteinif its breaking, try not doing it21:09
AnalogymousOk. Well I have already had to abort the installation and thus corrupted the previous OSs, XP and Ubuntu so the computer does not boot into any OS anymore..21:18
AnalogymousBecause the first time the screen turned black it took hours and nothing seemed to happen and I obviously had to turn it off sometime..21:19
Analogymousis there any way I can install from the cd and run scripts?21:20
Analogymousis http://ubuntuforums.org the right forum to ask for help?21:22
=== jussi01 is now known as jussi
AnalogymousWow. After doing some more research on installation issues of my kind I realise that my old computer isn't too bad for Lubuntu but for the graphical installer because it has less than 748mb RAM. If it's possible I would liek to help out and clarify this for other aspiring users.21:59
AnalogymousWhere can I contribute?22:01
bennypr0fanehello, I can't use my bluettooth headset with my desktop pc. a connection is successfully established, but sound keeps coming thruogh the speakers, nothing through the headset.22:35
bennypr0fanehow is audio configured in Lubuntu anyway? I'm on 12.0422:35
AnalogymousHave you checked that the BT headset is compatible?22:46
bennypr0fanecompatible with what? it's a sennheiser mm100 stereo. afaik all that needs to be compatible is the bt protocol, a2dp or avrcp in this case23:23
