[00:40] I am installing mythbuntu backend and I'm wondering do I check the box to install mythtv service? is this service needed if you plan on having a backend + frontend configuration or is the mythtv service for something else alltogether [01:00] I have selected mythtv service === mycosys1 is now known as mycosys === hpeter_ is now known as hpeter [14:29] hi how can i install extra monitor in mythbuntu? i want 2 use 2 displays but i cant find where the settings are [14:30] i already plugged the monitor to my laptop [16:01] !help transcode [16:45] can anyone tell me what transcode error 150 is? [18:44] hi all [18:44] I'm trying to connect to my mythtv backiend/frontend from a remote frontend [18:45] I should point out that this is the first time that I've done this and also it's on a machine which has been newly installed with 12.04 and then imported DB/files from an older install [18:45] AIUI the remote frontend should connect on port 6543 - but it looks to me as though that port is not open [18:46] I'm not sure of much else yet [18:47] hmm, actually 6543 does appear to be open [18:48] but if I telnet to it on that port I just get connection refused [18:52] sorry, got cut off... [19:00] is the only setting where I tell the frontend the hostname of the backend [19:00] in the database settings? === chiluk is now known as chiluk_away [19:01] I can't see anywhere else where I tell it the backend hostname
